For importing: could I just map the zip file without having to open your layout? I do that with sequences from other vendors like pixel prodisplays, xtreme sequences…. I am pretty sure I can map from the zip. I am gonna download some of your sequences and give it a shot! 😊 Also, not sure if you have played with the “alias” feature in XLights but it’s great if you use sequences from multiple different vendors. Makes mapping way easier once you set it up.. it would also make for a good video from you…😉

I don't see why you couldn't import it the way you normal do! Usually the way I import a sequence (I've only imported 2 btw), I just open the sequence and copy the effects from each model to mine, I've never experimented with other methods. I have not used the alias feature in Xlights before, but I will definitely check it out! Thanks for the advice!!

@@How2Pixel I'll keep digging and maybe I can figure it out. All I wanted for my first show was a Mega Tree, with or without music (if the path to achieving that doesn't become clear). Just looking for a lot of changing patterns as I see in your shows!

You may want to move one of your sequences to the free area so that people can download it and see the kind of work that you do and how compatible they are to their layouts. Your prices are good but many still will not want to pay up front without knowing what they are getting or how usable they are. If they like what they see in the free sequence, they are much more likely to buy others from you. Either way, good luck.

I made changes to a preview after working on a sequence is there a way to add the new elements from the preview into a sequence I already made

To make sure I understand what you are asking, you basically had a sequence you made, but then you added new models to your layout, and now you want to add those models to the sequence, correct? Yes you can do that. What you need to do is open the sequence, and right click the list of models and groups (which is to the left of where you add all your effects) when you're in the sequencer tab. You should see an option called "edit display elements". If you click that, it will open a window showing all your models. The models on the right side of the window are all the models currently in the sequence, and the left side of the window is all the models that aren't in your sequence. You can click the models you just added to your layout (which should be on the left side of the window) and use the arrow buttons to move them to the right side of the window, then they will show up when sequencing. You need to make sure to also add the model(s) to any groups you already have if you want to. For example, if you have a whole house group, you need to add the models into there for effects placed on the whole house group to show up on the new models. Hope this helps!
