Ever wonder what its like to be a manager at a horse stable? Follow along with me as we take care of and manage over 23 Horses! And 2 Miniature Donkeys.
My name is Joel, I work and manage Sunny Knoll Stables located in North Eastern Pennsylvania. There's always something happening as we do our best to take care of these beautiful animals. Between the weather and everyday shenanigan's, who knows what is going to happen next!

Joel, I just bought those 5 bottles of Dover Saddlery Durasole you had on your Amazon wish list. I googled to see what it was used for. Then I saw the Dover website sold them for $7 less than Amazon so I bought them and saved $35!! I hope the horses hooves stay healthy and the Dover website said it should be there in 2 to 9 days.

Yay both Andrew and Gavin made appearances in this video. I'm glad the camera didn't focus on that ginormous corn worm. We have the small ones and they are gross. If I saw one that big, I'd have to burn the cornfield down. haha. Thanks for the great video, Joel!

You guys are great at what you do! It takes many hands and different talents to run a farm. It is so satisfying to see you use the corn so many ways! Horses take a lot of hay and silage everyday. Not to forget bedding for them to. Thank God for farmers! I think we all need to give them the support they deserve! They are feeding so many people.😊❤🎉😊

A great explanation about how the silage cutter works. I enjoyed the walk through the corn field 9- 10 ft high is amazing. Also means you can produce cattle feed in a relatively small area. I am as usual impressed with how you manage to sort out problems with the equipment, and keep it running for years and years. So many skills. Nice to have such a strong community when everyone helps each other out.

When migrants pick sweet corn in front of my house, you hear the corn trucks at 3:30am and worker shortly after. They have lights. The farmers plant three crops of corn each year. This is corn year. Next year will be peanuts and the next year cotton. You can pick up all the corn, peanuts or cotton on the side of the road. More in the road than we used to grow each year.

One day in harvest we had a tire go bad on the used combine the farmers son had just bought. So he had to replace both big tires to keep them the same size because of the wear. $7,500 each he said. The very next day while opening up a new field of wheat he got a big antler shed through the sidewall of one of those new tires!😢😢😢 then the next day a piece of the bottom grain filter was found in the delivered wheat at the elevator, of course it took hours to get it taken apart to get to it. So the poor old john deere combine the son made fun of saying it was slow compared to his used but newer case combine and called it Myrtle the turtle slowly plugged away and accomplished most of the harvest because the newer case combine had something major broken down every day of wheat harvest that year. We even had a tornado strike that year. After harvest we got to clear the demolished shelter belts and cut up and haul off trees andput up new fence and put up a second hand windmill to replace the one that was wadded into a ball of debris and tossed almost a mile away.

I am constantly amazed by how much you have to know to keep all your farm equipment in working order. Loved the little Gavin "I love corn" insert. It made me laugh. It kind of blows my mind just how much manpower you have to have around a farm. The only thing I could think about while you had the tractor up on the jacks was whether you'd have to pull the tire hard enough that the tractor would shift off one of the jacks. I don't work on cars so I don't know if the weight of the tractor isn't going to allow any pushing the tire off the rim to move the tractor around. It made me nervous though. LOL! Loved the video. Walking through the cornfield reminded me of "Field of Dreams." You sure you didn't see any old baseball players in there? 😂 Oooo, any lore about ghosts and cornfields you've heard over the years?
