I saw on a video once that when you are frying sunny side up eggs, you put the eggs in the pan. When the eggs look like the whites are about half cooked, put an ice cube in the pan and put the lid on. They will steam and be done in a jiffy.

Lots of great ideas. Thank you. The only tip I can give is for easy to peel boiled eggs, use a pressure cooker with eggs half covered in water. 4 minutes on stovetop or 5 minutes in am instapot with immediate pressure release. Transfer eggs to cold water and they peel in one piece. A minute less for soft boiled.

I really love your English! Thank you for all your fantastic tricks, i.e. one more way to make Benedict eggs. You are very generous when show us so many recipes. BTW, now I never boil eggs - I bake them in the oven for 30 min at the temperature 180 degrees. There are a lot of benefits: 1) you can prepare many eggs at once; 2) you can pill them easily; 3) you can keep baked eggs in the fridge for a week 4) the most important - baked eggs are more tasty than boiled ones.

You can also make baked hard boiled eggs. Set oven to 325 degrees. Put you eggs still in shell into a muffin pan, bake for 32-35 minutes, depending upon oven. Let cool for 10-15 minutes then peel the shell. I love the taste. I usually add to refrigerator still in the shell. And used the eggs when needed. Easy to peel also.

1:30 Thanks for the tip using water in a skillet. 12:15 Same process as making cascarones usually done at Easter or other Mexican celebrations. Fill the shell with confetti and when it is broken confetti goes everywhere. Same idea in making pysanky Ukrainian Easter eggs with either the whole egg or just the shell. Thanks, always looking for new ideas for molding chocolate and the fried egg yolk at the end. Great video!

It looks like a fried egg because the white is flat and spread out with irregular edges. Some things in here that I have to try someday. I was so happy to see you shock the eggs. When you take boiling hot hard boiled eggs and shock them by putting them strait from the pot into cold water. The colder the better. It's so satisfying when the shell comes off so easily.

Hi there, I just found you on youtube. I really love your show! This is the first video of yours that I've watched. And I am a super huge egg lover so I'm grateful for all of your information. I have one question - I thought that we were not supposed to eat raw egg. But when you soak your egg yolks in soy sauce or hot sauce it appears you eat them without cooking them - has the sauce somehow cooked them so that we will not get sick?❤

Wonderful. Thank you. Just a couple of suggestions. To get a clean cut, without any yolk sticking to the knife, dipping the knife in hot water will help. 2nd, I'm sorry. But instead of straight from the carton, it might be a good idea to wash the eggs beforehand when dropping them whole into bowls. Its fascinating to watch your hands do the presentation. 👌🥚🍳 Slick. Are the yolks safe to eat when they are not cooked in any way…like the one covered in salt and sugar or the ones soaked in hot sauce? I make deviled eggs all the time so I will be trying some of your peeling techniques. I have tried many different ones but they are never foolproof. I am anxious to try a few new ones. Thank you for your videos. I always enjoy them. I don’t know why people have to knit-pick about the shell in the dropped eggs… My daughter and I have both used your water and flour trick to wash mushrooms…works great!

There is a shell piece in the first (second) in a row of eggs dropped. It becomes visible just at the yoke well back after picking up the (other part) of the shell. So... 9/10 ? :)

One of the things that always makes me a little crazy is that no presenter ever shows how easy it is to peel hard boiled eggs under running water in the sink. The water easily gets between the shell and the white and the shell usually just slips right off (unless that egg is incredibly fresh). I know this is because it is hard to film, and because it isn't too sexy or fun. But is is the easiest way to peel eggs, and they end up nice and clean. Just set them on a paper towel to dry, and blot before using. Also, eggs can be hard or soft "boiled" by "steaming" using only about an inch of water in the pan. Heat to boiling, add the eggs, cover, and the smaller amount of water comes back to a boil very quickly, decreasing the time you spend watching or cooking them. Cooking times remain the same. I have done this for years and years and . . . you get the picture.

We live in an area where water is at a premium, so we would have to make sure to save the running water in a container for other uses. But we did like the idea of using a spoon to peel eggs.

your fried egg hack isn't a fried egg. It's a poached and steamed egg, not a fried egg. Was amazed at your dropping eggs in a bowl to open them. Never would have guessed.
