Should I use these blinkers to decorate the Christmas Tree?

Hi! I bought set of 4 new from china for my XL700, looked at those, disassembled to inspect and threw out. Major differences - the glass is not exchangeable since the screw is smaller on china replicas, no soft gasket for glass, the bulb socket is different, much cheaper principle and there are no cable sleeve on replicas. To be honest, they just look the same visually when considering the shape, but otherwise not a single element is the same. My solution was to disassemble originals and repair, all four was in good condition but torn from rubber base. To get those back in rubber mount, turn signal unit have to be removed and completely disassembled. If originals is at leas somewhat salvageable, not like yours was, it is worth repairing. They will be far better than these crappy replicas. I did not want to change to other design because shape of base of these turn signals matches the teardrop shaped indent on the motorcycle body panels. Any other design turn signals would look out of place.

that's true. turn signals are underestimated, both on the level of using them and the build quality / daylight visibility. in the most cases the original ones are better and 21w bulbs are better than many leds out there, unless they are done properly as a whole unit.
