Yes Vespa PX 125 and 200 were scoots with a manual transmission. But it is true that today the small wheels of the scooter have disappeared and for some, their suspended engine too! They are more motomatics than scooters.

Πολύ όμορφη παρουσίαση, υποκειμενικά τα μόνα σκούτερ που θα μπορούσα να οδηγήσω (είμαι λάτρης των μηχανών)κατά σειρά είναι HONDA adv, Yamaha tmax, Honda Forza 750, kymco ak όλα τα άλλα δεν με ενθουσιάζουν,τα θεωρώ πολυθρόνες με Ρόδες.

the problem in general Today Is the fact that manufacturers are adding way too much electronics at least give people the choice. For example, I don’t care too much for TFT screens and analog dials look far better. The more electronics the more to break and the more expensive it is to fix .

Zontes is just for show, not for rides. 😂😂 You're brand is invisible😂😂😂 SYM and (Kymco) is better but, KYMCO is the best. Well, KYMCO AND SAN YANG MOTORS (SYM) are my love most.Italiqn motors? Nahhh way to more expensive

If you are looking for such a big scooter....why not buy a full size motorcycle, something that can be used for long distance or safe enough for highway. I'm sure the price isn't so low for choosing any of them vs a real motorcycle.

I do have both motorcycles BMW GSA 1250, HD Pan America 1250, HD 48 but I still purchased a maxi scooter Honda Forza 300 as it's easy peasy riding maneuver, no clutch no problem in the congested city. Yes, price is lower just a bit vs motorcycle.

Just curious, how do you like the Panamerica? I have the Moto Guzzi V85TT and like it a lot but it could use some more HP. Still easy to ride in congested NYC. Of course there's no motorcycle that can do everything hence my garage has 7 bikes. Scooters are great for a congested city, I find the Vespas to be the zippiest and with plenty of cargo room. I rode the 300cc and it has the top speed to go on a highway but you can't ride that thing for long distances and above 60mph for a long time. They aren't cheap, in fact, they are quite expensive for what they are. @@user-jv7zp9sc8q

For practicality scooters blow the doors off motorcycles and for a fraction of the price. And modifying them also at a fraction of the price. If you're looking for pure performance and riding joy and have the budget then of course go for the motorcycles. I grew up on dirt bikes, 3 wheelers, quads, snowmobiles and super sports or as we called them crotch rockets. And now as I spend half my time in semi-retirement in the Philippines, nothing beats a maxi-scoot for practicality on congested streets and hwy's. And in SE Asia scooters are king of the roads. They are literally half the price as they are in America and Europe because of the sheer number they sell and proximity to where they are manufactured.
