Float out of cruise ship Disney Wish with fireworks at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany on February 11, 2022. The Disney Wish is 341 m long, 41 m wide and reaches a velocity of 20 knots. She is the first ship of the new Triton class.

Love how Disney built a modern cruise ship but kept the classic black hull and twin smoke stacks of the classic ocean liners of yesterday. It looks like a ship is supposed too and not a white overstuffed birthday cake!!!!

Been on 20 cruises, 3 on Disney and they were my favorites. It is beautiful inside with everything for kids and big kids. The adult only areas and restaurant is fantastic!

@@victoriaharris8543 since you have been on one how would you know? Not being rude just asking why you would think that. Disney doesn’t have a casino so actually makes it quieter than other ships. There are children but if you choose to travel when kids are in school there are less of them. The adult areas are fantastic! Service, food, and entertainment is awesome. But if you are not a Disney fan than not for you. You would be better on Holland America. Stay away from Royal Caribbean, Carnival or Princess. The experience on a cruise and the cost of the cruise corresponds similar to a hotel cost. Hyatt is better than a Best Western.

@@musiclove4887 I'm not kidding. The river is 7,3m. They can get up to 8,5m with a river barrier. They have to fight for every cm of water. Transfer to sea is only ever attempted at high tide and preferably full moon. Getting these ships to sea is a science

@2:13 Is it normal for a modern day ship to have so much imperfections and bumps in the hull when it’s brand new?? Is every modern cruise ships like this and i just didn’t noticed because almost all of them are white and don’t show imperfections as easily as a black painted ship? Like seriously, the Titanic, which was built out of many individual plates and rivets over a 100 years ago looks smother than this shit.

Can we just get a white star livery looking cruise ship? What's wrong with it looking like a white star liner? I mean, I always see cruise ships white and it's just... too much. Like for real, I needed this White Star Line hull painted ship. The funnels are good. What's the problem. It's still new anyways. Updates will be made sooner.

@@notamorningdragon I doubt that… why should they launch a ship in the water that still has wet paint on it? Even if the paint really isn’t dry yet, this doesn’t explain all those plates of her hull that are clearly not straight and bend inwards. You can see it on how the shadows fall on those plates. It looks like this ship has been on the seas for 30 years and waves have deformed her hull slowly over time… but its a brand new ship. This ships hull looks like the hull of the Queen Elisabeth 2 after 40 years of transatlantic service.
