The weird little "football" thing Big Spring(er) comes with is actually one of the shells from the ballista the Autobots use to fight Devastator in the Autobot City in the original (and best) animated movie.

Great review Swivel King!!! This looks like a great figure but with all the 3rd party Springers coming out soon or the one's that have just released in my personal opinion there are better Springers out there. As for the bomb as you called it it's from the original 86 animated film. When the constructicons form Devestator to destroy the rest of Autobot city Springer loads the bomb into a launcher at fires it at the big guy. Its a very specific and in my opinion very cool accessory. Thanks for the review and keep up the great work...

The "bomb" is a mortar from the 1986 movie. They use it to hit Devastator but it is ineffective. The line was "I've got better things to do tonight than die".
