We have a similar hay rake built locally in australia , that has a like a trust rod , made out of maybe 1" solid round , mounted underneath that main wing frame beam that adds tremendous strength to that RHS beam frame, takes all the bounce out of the frame and hence stops the fatigue of the RHS steel. !! ...loves your videos.

I knew that repair job on the rake was spot on with the way you guy's did it. That's the way we repaired tubing at the shop. There's alot of force on that rake when it's open that's when it's at it's weakest time so you have to beef it up like you did. Farm girl with her dad enjoying summer on the farm on the tractor. You may have one or two girls wanting to drive tractor in the future. That square baler takes me back when I was a teenager working on my grandparents farm. Say hi to your dad for me. God Bless everyone on the farm. And Happy Birthday to the birthday girl. She's a cutie. 👍👍😁

Nice to see the old kick baler in action. I caught many a bale off those old hayliners to stack the loads to get more bales on the wagons when I was a teenager.

Those trailers are the hardest things to back. When I was little I was getting screamed at by my dad and uncle. finally had to tell them to shut the F up as it made me more agitated. I was able to back like you then and first time I ever swore at my dad. They just laughed thank goodness.

Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Busy busy time for sure. Lots going on. Happy Birthday to Summer. Have a great birthday. The hay rake you all repaired held up good it looks like. Good job on the repairs. Glad you gave your daughter a ride on the tractor. She enjoyed that. Thanks dad. I have not seen a square baler that self loads the wagon in a long time. Not many around anymore it seems. Yours works really good. Is a great system when it works right. You backed those bale wagons in the shed so easy. Nice job Kip. Thanks for the drone footage. Love those drone pictures. Really shows The baling process well. Your deck looks good where you have power washed it. Will be nice sealed up. Nice job Kip. How about showing the milking process again some time. Is interesting. About it I guess. Take care and be safe. Thanks for everything Kip. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.

Great Awesome video , rake is working well . Ur going fast enough for that rake. Biggest thing i learned is coming to the end to turn pick up the rake less stress on it , I think there just was a weak point on the beam

If your windrows were compared to beef steaks, you are putting out A1 top sirloin choice product. Hay looks awesome and top notch. As far as the repair job on the rake, very professional job.

Be careful you might be loosing part of your job soon😅😅 nice your daughter wanted to ride with you. I miss helping a friend do hay. He taught me to be able run all his equipment. He went from an old tri wheeled JD bar style rake to an Allen hydraulic double bar rake. The motors on that rake bogged the 3020d when engaging the hydraulics. My friend only let 2 maybe 3 people run that Allen rake cause if tried moving it wrong you could cause major damage. The rake was motors were inline to electro hydraulic valve body running 5 circuits and 3020d already had a double switch for round baler. Fender was busy with switches Looking good on deck

For as smooth as your hay fields appear to be there’s no such thing as too fast. It was gonna break either way for how big of a rake it is. It’s suppose to be designed to move a lot of material. Having two caster wheels on the wings really helps takes the shock out. Plenty of guys have dropped the single caster wheels off into holes or whatever and caused massive damage too

Sort of surprised you don't stack your wagons of small squares. You would have gotten so much more done. Especially with rain in the forecast. Why are the wagons still red? Thought they would be john deere green. Do your older girls drive tractor yet? I was 6 when i started but in 1970 things were a little different. Funny story though i was to small to shift out of gear so had to stand and jump on the clutch of the oliver 1850 and knock it out of gear. What is that little ford tractor that was in the shed for? Haven't seen it out and about yet.

I worked on my Uncle Ted's farm back in 1961. I was finished grade 11. I was hired to side his farmhouse with cedar siding and then paint it. I also did other odd jobs like dig a hole for an outhouse, tear down a chicken coup, and prepare an old Anglican Church so it could be moved. My uncle milked their cow and he said the secret to cold tasting milk was to chill it immediately after the cow was milked. It was excellent milk. My aunt was an excellent cook. I earned $5 per day. I had $300 in my pocket at the end of the summer. After my aunt's memorial service, at the reception, my uncle asked me if he owed me any money. We had a good laugh. I have many great memories of that summer.
