Ian was awful it not only destroyed Fort Myers beach but it caused a chain reaction of flooding that made even central and eastern Florida were affected which almost went from coast to coast. Yes… I took a sociology course back in 2013… I suspect today’s college courses are not as objective as back then… but, in sociology, there are lenses from which issues are looked at… the acts of the govt and other power structures, like big biz… have more of an effect that the individual, unorganized crimes and general ‘misbehaviors’ found within society. And we talked about how there was a social emphasis (media driven perhaps?) on the individual crime, while it’s the white collar, governmental policies and crimes that are the most destructive and negatively tidal waving more problems for humanity… and I happen to know people who learned this and decided to be liberal democrat thinking that the ones causing the problems are the ones who can fix it.., aiming their criticism at capitalism.., when the problem is fascism (crony capitalism), mistakenly referred to as capitalism. And often look to socialist communist ideas as a solution. Then, despite the obvious evidence, continue to say things like, communism just hasn’t been done right… instead of looking at how much better capitalism not don’t right has been. Instead of working to improve the system that created a place where people from communist failures, run to.

I'm in South Louisiana. This weekend I'm finally going to go buy a generator. I'm also going to buy 15 gallon fuel tanks with wheels and a hand pump. We had a storm two weeks ago and were out of power for 21 hours. I'm very well stocked up on most everything else. It never hurts to be overly prepared.

Don't forget to get Fuel Stabilizer if you plan to store gasoline for.more than 30 days. Get a dual fuel generator and stock up.on PROPANE. It can store indefinitely, doesn't freeze, and burns cleaner.

We had four tornadoes go through Tallahassee Florida about 2 weeks ago. Called AmeriGas to have my 500 gallon propane tank refilled. Normally they fill up to 80% full. This time the driver said that you were only allowed to fill to 70% full because of global warming and extra gas expansion feared for the tanks. I have an underground tank for God's sakes. I remember those storms. There's a friend of mine from church who has a KZfaq channel and she knew all about hurricane forecasting and the fact that hurricane Michael had discrepancies. Currently here in the Pacific Northwest we are experiencing a "Pineapple Express" storm system that we only normally get in winter months. (It will most likely affect our current strawberry season) Just prior to it's arrival early this morning yesterdays skies were massively sprayed. I have been watching this routine happen for some time now. In about 3 days or so there will be another weather event it will merge with. The recent past 2 huge tornado day events were fed by 3 of these storm & spray systems in the PNW. The first weather modification patent was filed in 1891. They have been at this for a long time.

Just throwing this out there. We're in Southern Middle Tennessee ,I was talking to a guy at the feed store and he told me that multiple Mennonite families purchased land south west of us. They moved from Pennsylvania. We have a large amount of Amish around here and some Mennonite. Guess everyone's leaving the 💩 that's going on.

Storing gasoline is great, but because of the ethanol and other detergents, has a short shelf life. If you store it in 5 gallon containers, you can easily use it in your vehicle during the good times, to keep it cycled every month or two.

I live in West Central N.H..A short interruption in Delivery of gas would be a bad situation because Stations here only stock what they think they are going to sell,They don't stock extra ever because they claim they afford it and the Suppliers won't Deliver until they Receive Payments in full. Some of our fuels come from Canada and some from South of us. There would have to be a huge disruptive event for gas to stop flowing. Ordered Groceries yesterday they had a lot of subs and we didn't get the Beef we ordered,thats never happened before,So we are starting to feel some of the shortages unlike a few months back. Truthfully not sure if it's a matter of it's not available or the employee's are being lazy.

Growing up in rural Maine, two weeks without power due to an ice storm was just part of going through winter. It was a yearly event, usually in February. Wood stoves, camp out in the big room, drain the pipes. We had an old well to draw water with a bucket. The urban centers are uniquely set up for failure.

About 10 years ago we had a small hurricane and the gas stations went dry within like 1 1/2 days. Guys in pick up trucks were at the gas stations with those big gasoline red containers filling them up. The people with I guess the generators were HOGGING THE GASOLINE. When there are emergencies or even if people think there’s a problem coming . People go NUTS and clean out all the food, toilet paper, cleaners and water and of course the gasoline……..If you are old and can’t get around good you are out of luck. It’s like the first ones at the pumps take everything. And they don’t care about the other guy. That’s why everyone should try hard to be prepared ahead of time for problems in this upside down world. ☮️☮️☮️

We live on a ridge, in the interior of Central FL. A couple hors from beaches on both coasts. We’ve been through a lot of hurricanes and tropical storms. My garage becomes a chickenhouse during these times. Hurricane season officially starts tomorrow. GET PREPARED! Our state gov gives tax free days for prep items here.

Your right on mark sir. I store fuel in an out building up to about 100 gallon at a time for times of need. It is important to note that fuel needs to be treated before storing and when it becomes over about 1 to 1.5 years old should be used and restocked. I date my cans and after the 1 year mark rather than using straight year old fuel I mix it into my vehicles 1 or 2 cans at a time and top it off with fresh fuel from the station depending on the size of your fuel tank in your vehicle. Another tip in storing fuel is non alcohol gas stores better though I still treat it a fuel stabilizer. So far in the last five or six years I have had no issues.

Right, fuel stabilizing is nothing new, we were using it back before governments were mandating ethanol addition. Gasoline is a mixture, even ignoring the detergents. It's a range of carbon chains, not a single chemical, so it separates/stratifies over time.

Ok; I live in NJ (10 miles from that Phillips gas tanks). Yes it was a nightmare during Sandy; me and my buddies traveled almost 2 hours south to get gas. We couldn’t cook for over a week, we had no heat and it was one of the coldest Novembers. And yes, they are depleting the gas reserves for the holidays (politics). I just watched a local news report last week on it; but local politicians were saying it won’t affect the emergency reserves (BULLSHIT)!! Well in 2012 I was not a prepper; I’m 2021, I became a prepper and now I have everything I need to last me months, possibly even years… I’m not getting caught again. Great video!!

My generator runs on propane. I have a 500 gallon propane tank. Farmers already have large overhead gasoline and diesel tanks. The thing about those overhead tanks is that thieves can be dangerous during trying times. The tanks are so recognizable

not just La Ninia reduces wind/windshear, but also the many wind turbine installations around the Northern Hemisphere! Those reduce the general Westerly winds, and enable more fierce local thunderstorms in the Summer. Bigger faster uprising Supercells causing local storms, heavy rain "spots" (clouds don't move across country), larger hail stones, golf or tennisball-size! in other ways wind turbines may be beneficial, extracting energy out of the rim of hurricanes but they can't stand/work in the center of hurricanes. Not all "climate change" is CO2 related.

In VT, all it took was a tropical storm, Irene, to flood and devastate many towns. My dirt road looked like a mini Grand Canyon, and it took a week for the road to be repaired, and only that fast because my father was dependent on O2 delivery. Stranded without phone, internet, etc. Many folks here have back-up generators. It’s always good to be prepared with food stocks, at least a portable generator, water, etc.

Crude is at $80 a barrel but the prices are still high. Transportation costs are up prices stay up. Something is coming, I get the feeling it’s not just storms. Don’t wait or expect our government to help. Gas needs to be stabilized for storage. Prepare and don’t tell others what you have.
