BIG Turbo Inlet Pipe Install!

Today we install the oversize TIP from Creation Motorsport on my 1.8T AUM (Ko3s) GTI. It's not a very fun job and you need to make a few adjustments to get it to fit, but we got there in the end! Let me know if you've installed one, or if you're going too. It may be easier on some engines than others!

Or you can spend an extra £100 to go for the SFS inlet pipe, which may be slightly better fitment, but I can't be sure as I have never seen one!

yeah, after some mods, downpiped it, you should remap computer. It will solve problems

I had the same problem using the creation motorsport tip but I bent my water line as well, I removed the gear selector to allow more access

Mine boosts to 22psi on a good day, but the bleeding thing jumps into limp mode constantly. Been having fuel issues recently where if the car is under any sort of g, whether cornering or acceleration, the fuel gauge drops, often to 0, and the starves the car of fuel, which then puts the bastard into limp mode again. Not sure if you know what it could be 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you're still using the standard recirc valve, then get an aftermarket one. Because it won't hold much boost if you map it

Have you checked the code for your check engine light? If you have a leak it may explain why boost didn't peak. Enjoying your videos, that's a good looking MK4 and same color as mine. 👍

Dude, I have a Seat Leon 1M 20vt4 -01 with an AUQ engine (KO3s turbo) and ARY gearbox, literally the same as a Golf mk4 (just the 180hp engine). I tried for 4 hours to get it on, I cut of as mush excess silicone from the pipe as I could to get it on to the turbo, but somehow one of the lines/wires between the gearbox and lever is in in the way, I also think the bracket that holds the 2 lines were rubbing against the pipe. Anything that you remember you had trouble with when you fitted this?

Reading this seriously made me have bad flashbacks of installing the pipe xD All I can really remember is trying to squeeze it between the coolant pipe (which i ended up bending forward a little) and snipping a bit off the front and end of the pipe. It was a tough thing to do, having 2 people helps as you have to be up top then below ect. Wish I could help more, good luck with it!

@@BWTV I'm sorry 😅 Yea I don't know what to do, I can't deform my coolant pipe any more, but I don't think that's the issue right now. Also since mine is a 4 wheel drive I have a lot of clearence issues from the bottom 😬 I might try it again but I think I'll try to undo the gear line bracket on the gearbox to get some more clearence.

It ran okay without a map but it will come up with an engine light and some codes

According to forge there is 12 bhp gain over stock intake pipe.

Brad a 100% serious tip, everytime you change something disconnect the red/postive battery terminal for 30seconds or so, it resets the ecu and it learns what mods you have done, not as much as a map but it will run better!

BWTV No problem, it might not make a difference straight away, my fiesta diesel takes about a 100miles ish to feel proper but it might be different for your car, hope it helps :)

Brad why didn't you do what I said unbolt the 2 water pipes metal screws that hold that mental pipe onto the engine side.. If you did that 1st and then bent it you wouldn't have had half the problem.. The turbo intake pipe is under pressure you gotta make sure you have a good sill.. If you dont your turbo will be pulling in Unmetered air and will affect your fuel trims

I have to stick up for Creation Motorsport here and say they make a good product especially for the money. It's definitely not a fun job to fit and respect for trying. I found it funny watching you struggle as I have one on mine and understand they're a nightmare. Loosen the waterpipe bolts that hold that pipe against the engine.. That will release alot of tension and then bend the pipe slightly.. After doing that you will have enough room.. Get yourself a new creation Motorsport tip as that one has definitely had it mate.. Do you have VAG com?

Ian Janane yeah oh well it's on and done now. It's running fine and it needed to be cut slightly to fit. Seems to be good and hope it holds. And no i dont have vagcom 😛

Vagcom is really simple to use and great for working out when we have problems with cars.. Its like a tech computer. You can run it off your laptop. It's free or you can buy the full version for around £300 all you need for the free version is the obd2 cable which goes to your laptop and some software it costs £10. You can look at car values and delete codes.. You can also unlock hidden features in the car that you had no idea were there lol I was surprised.. Check it out mate

13mm bolt on the block holding the hardline in place, undo that and then throw spacers in behind it. Also creation motorsports tips are ass. mine split after 6months. dont buy forge either, well overpriced.
