Salt 8k puts out 1k more power at less voltage @ 1ohm certified, but D Will won't say it because sundown didn't give him an amp and I guess he doesn't trust other reputable dynos like Derrick from Sundown Unofficial. No salt just saying the real!
@kkiidd772 жыл бұрын
@@Mr.NpK143 I saw the sundown unofficial video of it and you're right, yes it does beat the jp as far as voltage to watts but it DOESNT beat the jp when it comes to pricing.. I've been watching the pricing on the salt-8 when it was discounted TWICE on D4S and it was STILL more expensive than the 83.. like by $900 lol. At that point you're better off getting the 83 and grabbing yourself 2 batteries or 1 battery and a bigger Alternator.
@Mr.NpK1432 жыл бұрын
@@kkiidd77 finally someone that agrees with the truth 👏 🙌. I said the jp83 was a great value in my first comment. But I also said that we don't know the longevity of the jp amps. And that's also true! Lil D also stated the voltage in this video was enough to run this ampndue to his lithium setup. So it depends on if a person would want to spend extra on the amp or that extra on more electrical. But as we all know that seen the two dynos the sundown salt 8k is stronger even in the low 13s then the jp83 is at over 14.7ish (give or take). That's a hole volt. Imagine if you fed the salt with 14.7ish. There would be no discussion. CAUSE YOU CAN GET YOUR VOLTAGE HIGH AS A KITE AND THE JP83 STILL WOULD NOT NOT OUT PERFORM THE SUNDOWN SALT 8K.

@@kkiidd77 I'd love to own a couple of Salt 12ks. I presently run 4 wolfram 7500s that are in a close race with the jp83. According to the dynos each has it respected output over the other, but neither amp out performs the Salt 8k. If I sell the 7500s I'll be in the market for two Salt 12ks. Unless JP or anyone else can beat the salt lineup, but I doubt it. Only because JP can't cookie cut the sundown technology. I was called a hater for speaking the truth, Lil D replied to my comments 😆 🤣 , and even JP dissed the consumer suggestion. All because I stated the truth when a fellow bass head asked which is better. He didn't ask which was the cheapest lol. That's no knock to JP cause hell I run wolfram. Even bought one from JP, but neither is better than the 🧂 8k. And oh yeah the difference in price is $800 not $900. D4S claims the regular price is $2250. The Salt 8k is 2300. So jp thinks as much of this amp as sundown does the salt 8k. And if you pay attention Lil D says the JP 83 is 1500 at the time of this video. Same shit that was said on the wolfram 7500 dyno and now its 1500. You know I wouldn't be surprised if the price went up as soon as people start buying the jp83 amp just like wolfram. 🙄.

So I'm all about over rated power but I'm thinking it's time JP put on his amps a more realistic rated power so people can see the price is more than good for what your getting. I've been running the JP8 for a couple months now and NO problems whatsoever. Been up in the 90's where I live and the amp has yet to get over 119 degrees. So far great quality at great price!
@wal2 жыл бұрын
Awesome 👏
@Carl_Jr2 жыл бұрын
I get what you're saying about the power rating but there are other factors that go into rating the output of an amplifier other that what the amp dyno measures. The amp dyno is a continuous consistent load. A subwoofer is anything but. The amp dyno measures Certified @ 1% THD+N. This amp may be rated by D4S at a lower distortion level. The CAE requirements say "at or below 1%" so that leaves it up to the brand on how to rate them. On the flip side, this can reap havoc for someone trying to design an electric system to power this beast. They think they're getting an 8,300 watt amp but it has the potential to bump up to 15,000 LOL 😂

THESE AMPS (JP83) on Lithium power... (X9) would be around 135,000 watts RMS @1ohm nominal on Dynamic music. At 0.5 ohms nominal on Dynamic music that's around 207,000 watts RMS . This is all theoretically dependent on Power setup, etc., but I believe D4S JP series amplifiers are the best in the world, Same with GATLEY Audio. There build is SO strong, its amazing.

Hell , ive been running 18.4 volta in each of my jeep for the last 20 years and with that subtle difference in voltage and using compatible amps i see more power on a amp identical ran in a 14.4 volt setup. Thanks for your revies and testing , its enjoyed :)
