JP’s new Tahoe is truly insane. If there’s actually a such thing as too much bass that’s it. The demos he’s doing are probably 8th volume. If he pushed it far enough that system would literally blow the truck apart.

I think the reason for the slow ramp on the knob is to keep from going to far to fast. Its to dial it in with a fine toothed comb

sounds like steve/D'amore might need to make a beefier dyno model just to get a proper bead on down4sounds product lines. they're gonna be smokin things soon, and the amps just gonna be like 'what, you done?'

I've been curious about these amps for some time now and I've watched all the dynos you've done on them and I honestly believe them to be the absolute best on the market today. The quality that they are built in as well as the components used in their build are top notch. Why don't they have subwoofers. I think they would knock it outta the park if they did. As always, great video my friend. You know how them sound waves go.... I love it brother!! I get tickled every time I see it.

Impressive power but CapXon capcitors are horrible junk. That's what behringer uses in their power supplies and I've made a lot of money replacing those with nichicons after they fail within a couple years.

I'm beside myself on this one 🤯. Much respect for those amps. I'm also kind of curious about the dyo now. What's limits of the dyno at different ohms? (What's the dyo specs?) Did you ever cover this in previous video? If not, would you consider making one?

Personally, I think this amp is a hell of a bargain, especially considering back in my day, most amps were roughly $1 per watt.

JP is changing the game, in a positive way. If I had access to these last year when I bought a Sundown Salt 4K, I would have purchased the 8K DFS instead. I'm very very happy with the performance of the Salt 4K, but these appear to be slightly superior in build quality. (Not to mention I basically paid double for half the performance of the amp shown) Def something to keep in mind going forward. Thanks BigD and JP!

I replaced my sundown salt 6k for the JP83 the power output is good. The bass remote is annoying, it resets the bass to zero whenever you pair the remote to the amp and it takes too many revolutions to turn the bass back up. Direct connect bass knob like the sundown salt or the JP 23 is much better.

23,578w @14.36v is nothing to sneeze at. You must have a massive battery bank to stay over 14v.

Looks like I'm ordering one. I'm starting a new project for my 97 2 door Tahoe. My 18 sub is a older one a Solo X which was barely used from my brother. He used it for like 2 weeks back then then switched to 2 Fi BTL's. Solo X 18 still looks new I'm taking it out the basement and putting this amp on it😂

As someone who ran all Orion back in the day (late 80s / early 90s), 8 Orion 12s and 16 8s. 12 xtr2150 amps. I can say, D4S is really impressive. And their customer service is really good, too.

Finally, an amp that does not have bass boost option. Why do these amp manufacturers still include bass boost when everyone knows not to use it? Happy to see JP omitted bass boost on this one.

So I'm all about over rated power but I'm thinking it's time JP put on his amps a more realistic rated power so people can see the price is more than good for what your getting. I've been running the JP8 for a couple months now and NO problems whatsoever. Been up in the 90's where I live and the amp has yet to get over 119 degrees. So far great quality at great price!

THESE AMPS (JP83) on Lithium power... (X9) would be around 135,000 watts RMS @1ohm nominal on Dynamic music. At 0.5 ohms nominal on Dynamic music that's around 207,000 watts RMS . This is all theoretically dependent on Power setup, etc., but I believe D4S JP series amplifiers are the best in the world, Same with GATLEY Audio. There build is SO strong, its amazing.

I see the models are taking US Amps style and coloring . ya know we have seen high power voltage high power amps before look at examples of high voltage input amps .With the electric vehicle going to be the future the voltage possibilities are endless . Hell , ive been running 18.4 volta in each of my jeep for the last 20 years and with that subtle difference in voltage and using compatible amps i see more power on a amp identical ran in a 14.4 volt setup.
