Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was itself a downgrade. 90s animation was all about bringing teens and adults into cartoons and animation history, like it's OK to be 26 and like Mickey Mouse, and by the 2000s, they reversed all that and made Mickey into a preschool show all over again.

That was a toy and clothing line for the longest time; this would have been far more appropriate. It's OK to like Donald Duck as an adult but it's still not OK to like Barney or Dora as a non-nostalgic adult. Donald's meant for everybody, but Barney and Dora are the ones meant exclusively for preschoolers.

Funnily enough the old King Neptune design made a reappearance in season 6, which was after the redesign was made (which to my knowledge only appeared in the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie from 2004 movie, the only good SpongeBob movie), so I think it’s safe to say these are two different characters. I think everyone can all agree that SpongeBob seasons 1-3 and the 1st movie will always be GOATED (since the show was intended to only last that long before Nick wanted to milk SpongeBob for all its worth)

One of the downgrades IMO has to be Shantae's Risky Revolution illustration design. She was supposed to be in the classic Mr. Bozon style, but instead, she looks like a Cocomelon character, and this doesn't just affect cover art and promo art, but also portraits and menu aesthetics! Thankfully, the in-game pixel sprite still keeps the classic Mr. Bozon charm, since they kept most art assets from the 2002-04 era intact. The classic Mr. Bozon design had charm, passion, personality and soul, but the modern Risky Revolution illustration design? Just screams Cocomelon to me

It disappoints me that Scooby Do didn’t even get featured in Velma. They changed my boy Shaggy and made him black. Worst marketing move ever. I hate that marketing companies are turning to much simpler designs instead of the og design, bring me back to the good old days, never in my 16 years would I see this world be rebranded and completely destroy what we remember. It sickens me that their CEO approves of these things and doesn’t care what their audience want to stay the same. That’s all we want but all they think is “oh our company’s not getting enough revenue from their brand being showcased as good and think they need more attention but all it ruins is their business.” They were fine the way they were before. But they always think they need something more enthusiastic and appealing when we don’t need it. I can see why Pringles logo is rebranding because they want to bring back that Classic look from the 90’s

The Loud House, just like Fairly Oddparents, took a super huge hit bruh. It used to be a great animated show. But then, it got rebooted into a live action series that everyone hated. Just like The Last Airbender.
