Cooking and cleaning are low value tasks for anyone looking to level up. Especially when you’re broke. Instead, get paper plates and buy a rotisserie chicken. We have bigger and better shit to do. “But Justin, it’s cheaper to cook myself instead of getting a food prep service.” BULLSH*T. You aren’t calculating time spent at your rate of pay. Don’t get me started on the fuel, miscellaneous cooking costs, soap you buy for the dishes, and doing the dishes.

Isn't it more healthy though too cook the food yourself? Plus you can make the dish how you want in your own way.

This is good advice for someone who’s time matters and they need to spend as much time working as possible. But if you’re working a regular job this is not good advice. And I hate that he says the restaurant makes better food than me cause I love the food I make, even more than the restaurants food.

True, but as you said if you need to work you better do simple recipes, because some of them could need hours and hours. Anyway i like cooking too, but honestly THE BEST sensation is eating food made by someone who genuinly loves you like your mom. It just has a different taste, whatever the recipe is.

This is good advice at a very specific level where your time becomes worth more and more. But when your time is not worth that much, then yes, you are right, for most of us, this is terrible advice. If you’re like me though, working a job, trying to up skill, raising 2 daughters without extended family around, trying to start a business, and creating content on 2 social media platforms, it’s very good advice sometimes. I also buy microwave rice (rather than washing it 6 or 7 times, and then paying attention to it, making sure it doesn’t bubble over etc) I also buy ready seasoned chicken, so I can just throw it in the over with a timer. I buy paper plates so I spend a little bit less time doing dishes. The point is how do it ADAPT this advice to your personal situation?
@abz7881

@@CompactCognitionyes when your a millionaire lol, nothing before that
@CompactCognition
@CompactCognition 8 ай бұрын
@@abz7881 tbh, this might even be bad advice for millionaires, because if it’s a millionaire that only made money by saving, their time still might not be worth it. This is more for those people who can make £100 in a 30 minute consultant call. When 30 minutes of cooking costs £100, then it’s worth it to buy the ready made stuff.
