I think that most collectors falling in the same difficult traps. But I think that the most issues going around for starting collectors is: going in full steam. Buying everything that you want. No focus, no clear idea want the collection could and would look like. Trew away the boxes. Falling into FOMO. Collect pieces because others are buying it. I think that that are a few of the most common things for starting collectors.

My biggest mistake as a collector 😅 Having over 80 Preorders active at one time. One heck of a rabbit hole 🐇 🕳

i wish i would have started collecting while i was in my large house, then i would have stored the boxes in the attic or garage , but once in my flat i had limited space for the boxes so couldn't save them. also just stuck with 1/4 and 1/3 scale, i just got what i loved.

Buy right once. If there’s two similar pieces, and you want the more expensive one but that one. Honestly, saves money in the long run. And be real specific with your collection. Doesn’t need to make any sense to anyone else other than in your own mind.

i wish i had started while at my larger house , as strait away i would have stored my boxes in the attic or garage , but once at my flat i just didn't have the space to store them so didn't, also keeping to1/4 and 1/3 scale , at the time i got all scales and now i have a lot of cabinets full of anime figures that take up space.

I feel before you start collecting, you should have a clear plan of what statues you want, in what order you want to get them, know where you are you going to display them, and how you're going to display them. If not, I think it becomes an issue and leads to money wasted, along with frustration.
