Fun Fact: Peach changes the inflection of her voice for each play. The action oriented ones give her a deeper voice while the light-hearted ones have her keep her higher pitch. It reflects the levels of danger in each one and that as an actress you change your voice for each role.

While we're talking mario and luigi games and some of the wackynesses within, lets not forget in Dream Team, the bros go on a hallucinagenic trip where they daydream about eating so many mushrooms that they grow out of control, bigger than the island......... And then the game gives you a Fake GAME OVER SCREEN. So a mushroom induced macrophiles dream, and then almost giving the player a heart attack if they haven't saved in a while XD

Its funny, because all the other costumes are set up on a stage with the implication that everyone is aware its a play to some degree, but when peach gets her Ultimate form its not a play, she is just straight up flying and shooting lazers.

The game is good for what it is, but it could have been better. If it had been longer and had more intense challenges, I think it would have easily been a 10/10 game. They could have just stuck all they hard bits in the post-game like most other Nintendo titles, and it would have still been fine.

so as funny as the persona 5 references are, peach's phantom thief costume is actually a long-standing archetype in japan! inspired by lupin and sherlock holmes, the 1930s author Edogawa Ranpo wrote a detective series starring Kogoro Akechi (sound familiar?), and later a rival phantom thief character called the Fiend With Twenty Faces. the whole mask, suit, grappling, glider, etc, are all elements from that archetype that p5 popularized recently. other examples are the thief from detective conan and masque demask from ace attorney.

If Smash were to ever return in some way, they SHOULD KNOW what to do with her moveset now (most of the tier lists I’ve seen rightfully put Peach nowhere beneath A, which I’m glad, but I wouldn’t be opposed to these abilities in her arsenal AS AN OPTION for people who still prefer her moveset since Melee)
