To be fair, the flowers aren’t being sarcastic or degrading- they say everything with honest curiosity and sincerity. They’re not trying to be funny, they’re expressing their wonder to the world. Assuming that they’re being quippy when they’re not even using a sarcastic tone feels cynical to me. Like, imagine if this happened in the real world. “Wow, would you look at that!” “God, shut up, Josh, you’re so annoying. Stop trying to be funny.” “…This is why nobody hangs out with you, Carol.”

Using separate characters as lives is boring, because it's just you start with 12 lives and cant get any more and thats it. What you SHOULD do is treat every BADGE as a separate life, so you start with one life (no badge) and get more as you complete badge challenges

What I do is keep the characters as lives. But: Every level is assigned a random badge until the next one. (It's somewhat more stressful when you get all of them at 100%, because that technically mean Curses can happen. cries in spring mushroom) What I also do is make it where getting all 3 Purple Coins, Wonder Seed, and Golden Flag is mandatory, in one go. So if you missed one, back to doing it again. I'd also not use Nabbit. Yoshi however I have 2 ways for them. 1 is that they are rather a "reserve character" that if you can only use 1 Yoshi once for the entire run. So that means you got 4 of them. Second way to use him is that he has a 3D Mario health system, 3 hits. After the third hit, he's considered dead.

My favorite way to play the game. Is play the first part normally but get the jet run badge as fast as possible. From then on you can only use the expert badges. So like then you have to unlock more to get options. I will let you know every level in the normal world is possible without having to go back to them latter but it is a very fun challenge for experienced players. I know people have done like "invisible badge only challenge" but i think this is a little more fun because it gives you some strategy. Also the invisible badge is often times tge easiest because it doesn't mess with movement and you can spam emotes to see where you are at.
