Nah our food is actually incredible. If someone like this guy made every British meal and presented it, you would realise how good it all actually is. The problem is we get bad rep because we don’t have a big cooking culture here. Most people can’t be bothered to really cook and would rather just make an easy quick meal like pasta or something. That’s why beans on toast and a full English breakfast is most likely eaten more than a cottage pie or a roast dinner for example. Although we do cook these meals, but it’s mainly for special occasions like the roast dinner is for Christmas and sometimes on a Sunday.

I mean the United States is literally just an old British colony lol, most the stuff here is just off brand versions of European stuff. Our customs, our food, our dress, most of it is from Europe and so are most the people's ancestors. There are significant minorities of people who's ancestors and cultures are from other places but ironically one of the smallest minorities here are the natives. Hell I am a person who's family traces back to Scotland, DNA tests say I am mostly Scottish, looks stereotypically Scottish, and lives in a town called Aberdeen (Named after largest Scottish city) yet I am thousands of miles away and have never met anyone from Scotland lol. I am literally an off brand Scottish person.

@Exquailibur 5 ай бұрын
@@koolaidblack7697 Well the point is regardless of how common apples were in North America it doesnt mean thats where they came from, apples are not native to North America. Apple pie was not invented in North America, it would be like if Britain said "its as British as tea" sure tea is a very popular thing in Britain but its not from there and its common in other places, its just a weird saying that makes no sense.

@@garykimber1989 I suppose they may have tried to steal it for their museum. My point is that apple pie came to england from France; you cant say you invented it if it came from a different country. So not only did France have it first turns out the dish actually has its roots in Egypt yes the pie was invented in Egypt specifically and apples are a Kazakhstani fruit, so yeah another thing ready for the british museum. You'll never convince me that people who willingly eat plain navy beans mixed with ketchup on toast could invent apple pie.
