All the french clubmen Beta riders I know do a hack on the back mudguard where they remove the back two screws (or replace with cable ties) then cut a short section from an old inner tube and stretch it over the mudguard and the back subframe arms. It gives it additional flex & a failure point which can save you the 120 € piece in a fall.

the rad mud flap works bloody great. i've got it on my 2020 factory 4T, i'm moving it to my 2023 4 T factory, great crew at BVM , just the best to deal with , so helpful. cheers Craig and Lawrence :)

Hi, Iv got the same bike as this, and the front brake is rubbish, will a braketec caliper bolt right onto the beta, using the beta master cylinder and hose etc, or have I got to buy a kit? Thanks

Don't need the top triple clamp like the factory model to up the riding position?

Craig finds the postion on the standard top clap most comfortable with his height, handlebar position and style of riding. When Craig has had Factory clamps in the past he always ended up going back to this same position.

Shielded rear sprocket with good caveat but open rear disc ???

Yeah, interested to see the braking performance of that disc. But the FIM one is safer!

Laurence wanted to ride a TRS again and we didnt want to be riding the same bike.

@@jonbraid2520 Thats a tricky one! Both are good mud bikes and I think it comes down to more rider input rather than one bike being better than the other in slippery conditions! The one thing that is noticeable is the Beta has shorter gears compared to the TRS. So first gear on the TRS is the same as first and second gear on the beta. That means craig finds it easier to choose a gear for a section on a TS as it has more range.

An improvement yes. But will only really have an effect on your riding if you're a high level rider. They both preform similarly, however the braktec will not fade as badly, and don't tend to get spongey as quickly. The main noteable difference is in wet muddy riding. Braktec preform far better in this area.

Though honeslty for what it's worth. Maintaining and buying good pads, will keep them just as good. The £100+ spent on the change, would have more benefit spent on petrol for practise. But who doesn't like a bit of bling.

Yes we feel it does have better breaking performace. You dont need as much pressure to lock the front wheel compared to the original caliper.
