Find out how to deliver a BMW (with a handsome driver) to your great great grandparents, check out some hand-painted weather deities in an obscure yet charming roadside shrine, and feast your eyes on dance-a-thons in the park, potato kittens, chickens in the road, beautiful reflecting ponds, drone footage, AND MORE!!! Nanjing is a beautiful and fascinating place and what better way is there to explore every inch of it than creating your own adventure in the countryside. All it takes is a bike, a satellite map, and boundless curiosity, and the world is your oyster!!!

I'm so in love with the seamless blend of the urban with the rural in China. it's like the growth was so fast, some parts of the city never had a chance to catch up, and retained their historical charm. Also the amount of ponds and bodies of water is really scenic. Another great video! Love your lively expositions

Religion in China is like a cultural practice, rather than a strict religion where there are rules you need to adhere to. Many Chinese would once in a while go to the temples and light an incense and pray for something. There is also no strict barrier, you can pray to Buddha today and a Daoist deity tomorrow then your ancestors too. Pray to ancestors are the most common most Chinese does it at least once a year on Tomb Sweeping day, so ancestral veneration is the most common religious practice in China, though it can be argued as a cultural practice.

Katherine, I am very happy to discover your channel which has great content about China rural and urban. The content shows the real life of China. Your husband is very supportive of you. I am not surprised though because most Chinese husbands do that too because their wives are halves of them. They support each other day in and day out. More so when they get older. I can’t live without my wife. Just remember that nobody is perfect so just focus on the good sides of your partner. I am looking forward for your next video.

Just a few thoughts about the deities and Chinese agnostic environment, my understanding toward it is, although the Chinese government does not "promote" those deities things, for instance, Budda or Primus from Taoism, the government never "ban" them, which means whatever people do, the government will not intervene, as long as the officials do not openly worship them.

@Jinhui Chen There is a paranoia level (the period of culture revolution) then there is a pragmatic level (Jiang Zemin's era) Right now i'd say its going towards the paranoia direction, but it's still very within the pragmatic zone where people can still openly learn and discuss western democracy ideas and free to practice religion (cant be at expense of CCP of course, but it never NEEDED to be at their expense does it?).

Chinese government is not as secular as some western countries, there are many religious representations, advisory roles and financial sponsorships in various levels of governments. The only crux is no religious practices if you are a member of the communist party.
