The quality, fit and finish is far better in Honda compared to RE bikes, but both engines are refined well.

The premium on Honda is something you have to pay only once. Royal Enfield keeps burning a hole in your pocket for the entire duration of ownership.

With all the good things the new J platform brings to the table the Enfield is no doubt a good bike if your budget is strictly under 2L. But the Honda has more value for money. For around Rs25000 more you get better engine refinement, durability, assist and slipper clutch and smoother gearbox.

Being a Mechanical engineer and a designer in automotive field, I have following observations. I was looking for a family bike for city rides mostly with a flat (horizontal seat), circular headlamp and retro-like + premium design (not like 100-150cc bikes). After exploring lot of bikes, I finalized three options to compare. 1. Honda H'ness 350 CC 2. Royal Enfield Hunter Rebel 350 CC 3. TVS Ronin 225 CC I test drove all 3 vehicles 2-3 times and following are my observations, 1. Honda H'ness 350 CC - *Pros* - Nice retro/classic look, Low end torque is good, Seating space for pillion rider is more than other two vehicles. *Cons* - Bulkier (Box size), Paint quality, Higher cost as compared to other two vehicles 2. Royal Enfield Hunter Rebel 350 CC - *Pros* - Beautiful Design/Styling/Look, Great color schemes, Turning radius is smaller than Ronin (Less space to turn the vehicle), Reasonable cost. *Cons* - The biggest issue (design flaw) is positioning of foot rest (pegs), just below the sitting position. This makes it difficult to keep your feet on ground while you are at signal or in slow moving traffic. Foot rest (pegs) keep touching your legs and is very uncomfortable. Another point is that seat on rear end tapers downward and seating space for pillion rider being less, pillion rider tend to move back and when you accelerate, pillion may feel like toppling/falling down at back side. So this is not safe and hence, back rest is MUST. Handle bar positioned in such a way that you need to keep your hands stretched straight all the times which is not a comfortable sitting posture. Low end torque/performance (2 & 3 gear) is sluggish due to bigger engine. (Not as good as smaller capacity bikes) 3. TVS Ronin 225 CC - *Pros* - Semi-retro look with circular headlamp, Driveability and Performance is superb. Handle bar position is very good for comfortable sitting posture with hands slightly bent in elbows. Very easy to handle in traffic. *Cons* - Very bad design/aesthetics of fuel tank (some odd shape), Color schemes are odd (not impressive), Turning radius is higher than Hunter (Needs larger space to turn the vehicle). Cost is on higher side for lower CC as compared to Hunter (mainly due to features). Overall, none of them is meeting my requirements (as mentioned above) and hence, I decided to wait for Kawasaki W175 or Yamaha XSR or Improved version of Royal Enfield Hunter. All the best! you get what you pay for... The Honda is roughly 22% more expensive.. For that you get a better engine with more power and slightly better fuel economy.. But I actually prefer the look of the enfield hunter 350 to the Honda CB350... just wished the RE engine had 10% more torque and horsepower..

If you're a retro bike lover, there is nothing better than cb350

There is rusting issue in honda hness 350 it seems.we can clearly see in that honda bike, back suspension and front suspension rusted.

Friend i have classic reborn i thougt it is very smooth but today after driving honda hieness i proved my self wrong. It is very smooth and handle is very light. But it feels like dtiving 100cc bike although pick up is very high. If u love speed + butter smooth hieness win If u love bit less speed + want to feel 350 cc minor vibration that gives u thrill. Go for RE

H'ness thodi thodi har department me achi h 1. Comfort 2. Looks 3. Built quality 4. Power and torque 5. Slip and assist clutch 6. Let lights 5. Bigger wheel size 6. Better refinent 7. Better sadling 8. Bigger fuel tank 9. Less vibrations 10. Less maintenance 11. Longer seat 12. Higher ground clearance 13. Better suspension 14. Bluetooth connectivity These all small things add up to make that 40k difference....when u see all this Hness pricing makes sense

To be quite frank I forgot about the hiness 350 before the launch of Hunter 350. I think RE has given a shot in the arm to Honda with the launch of Hunter 350. Quite ironic.

Honda quality is not like what it used to be..my handle bar ends weight broke off .but it's fun quotient is too High..u feel it

The thing is that I feel like Royal Enfield Hinter might he lighter than Hness, as I'll use it in city.

5 gear is over drive so you won't achieve top speed in hness instead you have to pull up in 4th gear for top speed which is 140 km

cb350 is way better than hunter... but there are many complaints about rusting in cb350 which can be seen even in the bike you used to do this review at 7:45 .. I am planning to buy cbr350 will it cause any problems?

One of Important factors Rear view mirrors which is nearly non usuable in both....and you didn't mention it's importance and another important thing is which has better after sales service and reliable engine which ofcourse no youtuber speaks ever cuz they don't care, all you guys care is which bike has more features and comes in best price. Bike purchasing is only once and then after sales service is what we have to live with. Please cover everything if you're teaching about bikes.

Honda cb 350 is 4 valve and RE Hunter 350 is 2 valve.4V is better design and so price I think to be fair cb 350 and RE Meteor 350 are of the same segment. RE Hunter is one level down again a new segment etched out by RE clever move. :)

I've seen both the bikes in person and have ridden it also before commenting, I'm glad I made an best choice of RE HUNTER, Honda's rust after some time and the ride quality is like a more powerful unicorn, the hunter is quite easy to manage in real life 🙏🇮🇳❤️

If you want to know what Honda is capable of... Pay a visit to my channel... I did 15000 km ride on honda, full South India starting from Delhi. Never got a hiccup, Mostly I was riding at 120+ speed and got a mileage of 35 on it. At 80 kmph, mileage was around 38. And if I say zero vibration, I mean it. RE is everywhere, be unique- own a Honda.

RE has never been about what how much power,how much money,how much mileage..If u want an emotion with a bike go for RE coz Enfields have been about pure emotion,u will connect to it. Otherwise if u want specifications related bike go for other company options.. Dont compare RE's with other bikes.. RE never puts up ads defining power,mileage.. Its true that people who are rational, logical and have no ego involved often come to same conclusion. In my swot analysis, I reached to similar conclusion. However, my age is 30, being from tier 3 city with 1 RE showrooms and 3 service centers, My first bike from my own (believe me I used to envy when despite being a topper throughout was never given or gifted anything when others who just pass used to get pulsar etc I was too proud to skip purchasing motorcycles) and soon booking my first car too, so it became inevitable. Keeping all the above points in the list of price, city maneuverability, brand, resale value. I finally went for hunter 350 rebel blue custom

At current you need 2.17 for hunter metro rebel and 2.73 for cb 350rs which almost 50k more. It’s obvious you will get more features. In BLR, it might be different in other cities.

Check the facts before you give the review...Hunter does not require frequent gear shifting....!! I am a Hunter owner myself...
