He talked about there being a leak on the underside, which seemed more the motivation for replacing it than just the cleaning aspect?
@SupremeRuleroftheWorld
@SupremeRuleroftheWorld 3 жыл бұрын
@@adamtm82 i saw no leak. only worn/leaking o-rings that are extremely common on car systems. it was just dirty. the oxidation is no reason to replace the part simply because the aooly they make the condensor from oxidizes naturally over the years. its normal. replacing it is just a waste of money. its cheaper and faster to just pull the part out, clean the snot out of it with a hose and coil cleaner outside and replace all the o-rings you can find and recharge the system. should take no more then 2 hours excluding the recovery machine time.

One time I was at my local Tesla service center and overheard an upset customer complaining about having to replace the half-shafts on his Model X. I guess some Tesla owners forget that those are heavy high-performance cars and if you drive like a mad-man, you'll inevitably wear out some components. Great content Bjorn, keep it coming.

OP gets some TLC. You are fortunate to have such a great and trusted local repair facility. Here in the US (home of Tesla) it's a wasteland when it comes to "third party" repairs. Tesla needs to start supporting third-party repairs. As more and more pre-owned Tesla's change hands (many out of warranty) owners can't rely on Tesla's Service Centers which are few and far between major cities in the US. I hope Elon is listening. I enjoy looking at HIGH mileage Tesla's repair video's as they tell us how they age and what it takes and costs to repair. So far I've been impressed.

@@Zombiexm could be, which is why my plan is to have our Tesla’s paid for by the 36 month of ownership and then start looking to upgrade to a newer model while ours still has some warranty. Or hopefully third party extended warranties become readily available that Tesla will accept payment from.

Waste of a good condenser. A local mechanic tried to make me replace mine in my dino-powered car due to high pressure in the system (since he claimed the filter and drier were fixed inside it and required replacement of the whole unit), but luckily I knew better. There's a screwed in plug on top of the condenser that allows you to replace the filter/drier. I took it to a different mechanic and replaced the drier/filter for 10 euro instead of the entire condenser for 500 euro and afterwards pressures in the system returned to normal.

It looks like the issues on OP are more related to cars in general than to electric car components! Does this mean that motor, battery, electronics, colant systems are running perfectly after 264km? Here at my country, a gasoline car would last only 150 km and would be destroyed interior and exterior even if you have done the correct maintenance! a diesel would last at least 300km but still would be all loose and squeaky!
