I’ve been fat most of my life but I actually find this funny as hell. I don’t found offensive at all. It’s true. In fact, I’ve been recently going to the gym and working on getting my abs working. In fact, working on abs workouts can help you lose fat faster cuz it helps burn the older layers of fat and it can make you shimmy down faster. 👍🏻 Also, I love bill burr.

Weird fact: McDonald's got sued by children entertainers Sid and Marty Krofft for stealing their designs for the creatures the Golden Arches invented for "McDonaldland" (which I'm sure you don't remember, enjoy being young!). McDonaldland featured "The Grimace", "Hamburglar", "Mayor McCheese", and a bunch of weird burger creatures that looked a LOT like Krofft creatures on their various children shows. McDonald's even turned their restaurants into mini-theme parks - a harassed parent of bored children could take the brats to McDonald's and let them play in the rec area outside while Mom or Dad surreptitiously poured bourbon into that awful coffee. But the Krofft's finally sued Mickey D's. The suit took over a decade, but around 1990 or so, the cute McDonaldland commercials went away, and so did the mini-playgrounds. Finally Ronald himself got oofed, for all intents and purposes (technically, I think he still exists in some fashion). I bring all this up because while I agree with Burr on the whole, associating horrible food - poison, as Bill says - with childhood fun MIGHT have had a psychological effect. Sorry for the length - sociology amuses me.

Well if you bring the third world into the so called "first world" then wouldn´t that soon make the first world into the "third world" .? And on top of that you make the third worlders to feel entitled to whatever we have and enjoy and so creating a class of entitled people with a huge resentment against the host population who in fact are paying for the entitled ones..! In the end it will lead to catastrophe and war ..since we generally are so very different..!
@DarkNaifu
@DarkNaifu 2 жыл бұрын
@@johanblom3591 @Johan Blom Nothing you just wrote made any sense. The only people moving to West are those trying to find a better life, whether that be to escape war or poverty. So why would they ever feel entitled? Only people with wealth or status strut around feeling entitled, and guess which group has most of that. Secondly, no rational person wants to live on the street or starve. So the only way immigrants will turn a "first world" country into a "third world" is by exposing the fact that those countries really wasn't that good to begin with. Take for example the homelessness in America, those people aren't immigrants. They are Americans, and yet their country has failed them for whatever reason.

@@DarkNaifu LOL what a load of crap...I have lived and seen the negative changes of my country from being a high trust society a homogenous population and a society bound to take care of the people who were falling between the seats and try to help them to raise up again. Also it´s NOT the people looking for a better life that are coming to the by European`s built nations. It´s criminals and religious freaks that changes our societies to something unrecognizable and dangerous instead of safe and recognizable. No one is a winner in this...all are losers' well the 1%-ers the richest they support this because it makes their opposition poorer and killing national pride and unity. But that´s their plan all along..so no mystery there..! So if you want to stand with them...it´s your choice...

It should not go unnoticed that Bill is a guy in a first world country who is complaining about people complaining. He’s complaining about the most first world problem you could possibly have; complaining. And he’s DOING the first world thing he has a problem with. Also he mistakes his hating himself and being angry all the time for a legitimate reason to be an asshole to as many people as he possibly can be at any one time. On the other hand he always has valid points mixed in with his rubbish and he’s very good at being funny.

Complaining about the weather: We Americans sometimes grumble a bit about cold or heat, but it is very, very subdued. We are absolutely elated if a week goes by and our town hasn't been destroyed by tornadoes or hurricanes. We can bitch about shoveling snow, or how it is too hot for a dog to chase a cat, but you'll hear nary a peep from us after the wind has picked us up and impaled us on a tree.

5:45 - I understand what you mean. The thing is I don't think us humans are built for the cushy comfortable society we live in these days. We're genetically engineered to live a life of struggle where we probably need to be concerned about gathering food and trying to survive in the wilderness being preyed upon by dangerous animals. In the absence of that we end up finding problems in our everyday life that aren't really problems and we whinge about that. It's a bit like how in the movie "The Matrix" one of the programs in the matrix that the machines have made say that there was an earlier version of the matrix where everything was perfect and people rejected it. If there aren't problems we A.) Don't trust it and B.) Find some imaginary problem to get annoyed at.

Early in your video you questioned whether people are more easily offended today but said that you didn’t have the age to know. As someone who is 60 years old I can tell you that people today have been taught to be easily offended by certain words and phrases. Mostly geared toward groups divided by ethnicity or sexual preference. But at the same time they allow casual conversations to include personal insults and crudities that would’ve eventually gotten you punched in the face 25 years ago.

I don't mean this in a horrible way. If anything I'm trying to be constructive. Casting won't see you as slightly chubby, they'll see you as fat. That genuinely doesn't apply to the real world, but you're about 3 months of very hard work away from what they would consider an average body type (based on my own efforts). Being overweight isn't necessarily a problem when it comes to finding regular work but you'll probably have to stick it out until your 30's before roles are regularly available. Best of luck with it.
