I don't watch Colbert since the Colbert report. Does he no longer talk politics on the new show? I would have thought he'd love to talk to Bill Burr about stuff like this

@@chrislawrence6609 Go watch Bill Burr on Colbert and then come back to this clip and you'll appreciate Conan as a host even more. Colbert strangles and cuts off Burrs attempts at just making his audience laugh at every turn. His show isnt a vehicle for comedy, it's a vehicle for annoying politics and a vehicle to celebrate himself.

I just watched him on Kimmel and he kept cutting Bill off.

That’s the best part lol He verbally acknowledges that Bill is saying “ridiculous” things but let’s him rant and eggs him along the way🤣🤣

Bill comes on when other people cancel and does bits from his act. Conan asks pre-conceived set up questions like its an interview but its really just talking points from bills act so bill can tell his jokes.

I believe in facts and would only follow certain bits of various ideologies that make sense to me. Republicans have a way of thinking in the sense of "survival of the fittest" ideology. They resist change both the bad ones and good once. I suspect a lack of empathy in many of the conservatives. I see empathy driven narratives perpetuated as fact in the left wing people. A funny joke is a funny joke. If you can't take it, go somewhere else.

I don't think Bill Burr makes things funny. He is just saying things that seem funny to everyone else. I remember comedians talking about Bill Burr simply talking to them in car rides, and they couldn't stop laughing at things that Bill would find just normal things.

@@bliiild and I concur. And the fact that he doesn't write jokes, and does 1 hour specials, makes me respect the guy more.

It also helps that Bill says it how it is meaning he "shits" on everybody, and this is what makes it ok. This is the core of comedy. Everything is and can be funny, when done right.
