On Conan it was still fresh, on this one Bill didn't look like he was close to tears or anything but yeah you can see it still haunts him. The 2 of them being on the outs was what made something shitty even shittier for Bill . Then you add Patrice being comatose shortly after getting to the hospital.......I feel for ya Bill. Patrice already mastered comedy. He was already reaching iconic status for being more of a philosopher than a comedian. Long live Black Philip.

Bill's stories and actions around Patrice are what makes me respect the shit outta Bill. Stories of him driving Patrice home to the projects in his truck and sitting up till 2am talking Patrice's outside his mom's home, how Bill still sets up the Patrice Oneal benefit to make sure Patrice's mom is set up financially, and how just now, he says "I still have arguments with him." Patrice is a permanent fixture in Bill's mind. He takes Patrice with him wherever he goes. That's a good fucking friend, and the kind of friend I'd want if I passed early.

Patrice O’Neal got me to overthink everything in my personal time. Every topic that pertains to my life. He did this and it’s why conversations with him became so meta because he’s got so many takes and perspectives. Listen to him on O&A and you see he looks at everything from every logical standpoint available. It made it tougher to argue with him. He was also one of the most open minded people. He had his perspective but he’d listen to everyone else and if you made a good point he’d absorb it

I almost agree, there was a Cumia before and after Obama you can tell by listening to the O&A catalog, and he just kept ramping it up. Back in the day they could (kind of) make or break or at least introduce a comedian to their audience so they could make a living like in the Virus Tours, now Bill has a production company and connections therefore he calls the shots on his side. I know Cumia made it look like jokes but his racism is palpable, what the fuck do you want? That's the line you know?
