In response to the comment about it being sung too slow here, this is the way I have heard it sung for over 50 years . I have even heard it sung this way at Billy Graham crusades. Either way, the words are powerful.

What has happened to some of our churches now day? This is the question I asked myself when I looked this song up, to listen to it. This is the music we should still be hearing and singing in ALL our churches today. Sadly, there are some churches, that have become worldly. I don't know about anyone else, but I as a Christian want to be in a church, that is on fire for God. A church, that you still feel the Holy Spirit of our almighty and fearing God. A church that still is full of singing the old and beautiful gospel songs like this one. Thanks for the song. It touches my soul, this Sunday morning. God bless you!

My grandfather as a pastor listened to the Gaithers a lot and watched on TV. What a wonderful way to remember him and have a connection to God that way. What a wonderful thing this is!!

These are definitely the songs the spirit and the joy that will reach inside of us and will cause the flame to begin to burn and what a joy to serve our lord and savior jesus christ i grew up in a small chruch in Kentucky but now live in florida and i kove the chruch i attend every week but they have sing contemporary gospel it just isnt the same but i guess i will always be partially leaning towards southern gospel. I wonder how many of can remember when in your chruch you attended growing up the shouting the tears of joy and happiness and the ole preach preaching and his face blood red preaching gods word and just the feeling of god all around us. Some people and churches this and time have forgotten about god. And they react on putting on a show just to be seen what a shame. God the father is creator and the only way to the father is through his son our savior JESUS CHRIST who died for you and me. Thank you lord for calvary and your precious blood you shed that day on the cross for me. I LOVE YOU JESUS.

Such a beautiful song. I remember more than 50 years ago when our congregation would join hands and sing this song together as we ended our prayer service on a Wednesday night. How special it was.

This lovely song always remind me my self as a child in church. It always touched my soul as a child but then I just appreciated the music, but now as an adult it always touch me and elevate my spirit to be thankful for the love o God. The song just came to my mind earlier and I searched for it here in KZfaq and listened and I just cried and felt touched and humble into God's presence. Thanks God for the artist who write and sing that song and for the technology which let us enjoy all this.
