Everytime I feel as if my brain is about to explode from listening to The Right or The Left media, I turn to Bill for a dose of sanity. Conservative and Liberals seem to have confusingly reversed their thinking on so many issues. It's impossible to find interviewers who doesn't eventually reveal their political leaning. Bill is one who doesn't. This interview of Bill was done very well. I subscribed.

There’s a word for people who are fighting for the values that made them liberal from the beginning, 20 or 30 years ago. Conservative. Seriously, Bill’s whole shtick “I didn’t change, the liberals changed! They got too woke!” is the kind of thing most people who become conservative say. And it makes sense because you’re comfortable with the values you grow up with. And since the world is going to continue to progress, he’s going to continue becoming more uncomfortable and more insufferable about it. But that doesn’t make him some kind of sage. He’s just a conservative who’s views were once considered liberal for their time. Now he’s just a Never Trumper Republican. That’s it. Bill Burr’s appearance on Bill Maher’s podcast a few few weeks ago was epic when he said to Maher. “Why the hell am I listening to you? What have you ever done that makes you smarter than anyone?” Exactly.

I've been hearing about Trump's drug use lately. It is strange that the media narrative is that Biden is the one with dementia and can't think straight while Trump is saying completely unhinged things and there's barely any coverage about it. Trump hides it behind his impromptu tantrums and rants in speeches I guess but the things he's saying does sound like he has serious cognitive issues.

It’s so odd that Maher insists he’s still a liberal. There are many clips here on YT of his 90s TV show - watch and listen to those old clips and then tell he hasn’t moved to The Right. It’s not uncommon to experience a change in your worldview as you grow older but I really wish Maher would just own it.

Bill is starting to sound really dumb when he says things like I don’t watch or follow the news I read Barry Weiss and occasionally turn on the nightly news. The nightly news is about 12 to 13 minutes of news and some local story about a cat and then weather and commercials and that’s it lol. I did not know this young guy and I think the interview was okay. I wish he would have been more impartial. The feeling of him being against Trump, puts a shade on reason, truth and logic. I am not for Trump nor Biden. I think personally that politics kill truth and there is always an agenda behind every promise. If I had to choose, I would pick Trump only for two reason, he does not want wars and wants to focus on America. Is that a bad thing? Now with respect to Bill Maher, I feel he has now accepted that over ten thousand children are dead, more are dying and even more will continue dying. Why not. If you turn off your tv, you do not see the pictures anymore and you are not affected anymore. The pain and terror in children's eyes is not there anymore to remind you that you are a human being and that the life of innocent children suffer on the presence of your silence and indecision that life is worth protecting and the life of children a place of no retaliation.

He suggests that he was right about the vaccine all along, but just this week there was revealed that a man in his 60s had somehow managed to get vaccinated over 200 times, some very recent, and not only were there no side effects, they realized that every time he vaccinated, it made him more immune, even the last couple showed a difference.

Regarding the vaccine, I've heard Bill Maher say MANY times that each of us, as individuals, has a unique biology (lifestyle, genetics, etc) and that "mandating" a "one-size-fits-all" medication is a violation of the American ideal... FREEDOM (of choice)... 🗽🙏🗽

There's no centrist Bill. At best you're someone who was believed to be a liberal/leftie but thanks to your devolving politics and growing ignorance Republicans now think you're someone worth watching. A sign that you're on the wrong path but to you it's evolving your audience. The real crux of it is that during the era when basically no liberal voices existed on television you were king and liberals and the left appreciated that. When online content and other leftist voices started getting an audience you didn't have the monopoly you used to have and suddenly you found the conversation pushing your leftist credentials. You didn't like that. Instead of reading up on the issues and getting a better understanding of the issues you push back without credible positions but you don't really care about having substantive positions anymore. After your fight w California over your back yard shed, COVID masking and getting threatened by "woke" audiences to be cancelled you've labeled the left as extreme. Which it isn't. Now you overlook facts and data regularly. You talk over your guests and you've become a boor. It's sad.

There are people in the middle of politics. You can’t just split everyone into black and white groups, good guys and bad guys. There is also just people on both ends of the spectrum that have a you either with us or against us. If you don’t believe everything I believe, you are a (insert your political opposition). It’s called tribalism and political purity. The fact that some people are calling Bill a corporate/some old right wing sell out and some calling him a lefty stooge probably says something.

@@jessefree9314 what does a centrist look like? What are the issues, to you, that would identify a centrist? The reason I don't believe in centrists is because on the surface a self professed centrist will attempt to present some kind of image of moderation on issues. When you scratch below that it becomes very apparent that they actually are positioned on the left or the right and it's only some kind of fear of professing their opinions about issues that gives that image. When you dig enough into enough issues their perspective and side of things becomes more clear. I've yet to meet an actual centrist.
