I went through communist regime, and I understood more about human behavior. The communist supporters were angrier and looking for revenges. Their leaders understood their followers very well. They knew how to control them and use them. Their leaders empowered those who were on their side and eliminated quickly those who were against them as examples. After a while, people wouldn't dare to think about challenging the authority. They became totally submissive because they were so afraid. Their leaders used race hatred to divide the population into two segments. The extremists got to control the hated population. After many years of killing millions people, even the extremists started to realize that their families were killed also. But it took so many years for the communist to collapse.

Yeah, polls are bullshit. I've never participated in one and neither has anyone I've ever known. They are very often wrong. And different polls have different results. Most people in mass media want Trump to win, even if they claim they don't. If they really wanted Biden to win, they wouldn't go out of their way to claim that Trump is winning in the polls.

As someone who worked in market research in the past (doing polls over the telephone), I can promise you that there are plenty of ways to skew polling results. For example, calling areas that are sure to agree with your premise, or phrasing questions in a certain way that promotes ideals that you want to advance. While I do not think that the New York Times has a biased agenda against President Biden, I would look *very* hard at who owns or manages the market research firm that they hired to do the survey.

Spot on. Polls can be misleading especially if you dont know what the exact phrasing was and WHO they decided to ask and how many. Additionally, they only speak to the people who are inclined to answer their phone for an unknown number AND also be willing to take a poll. That right there skews things. This is why i dont listen to the polls. They mostly serve only to motivate or deflate people.

And ask yourself who is answering a land line phone in the daytime. Ask who is answering an unknown number on a cellphone. Most people under 30 don't answer their cellphone unless it's their partner or a close relative. Most of the people who are participating in these polls are over 65 and at home in the daytime. Most of them are watching Fox News and trawling Facebook in their hate groups.

Inflation is down. Past inflation due to the pandemic rose prices, and they don’t necessarily come back down to where they were. There’s always background inflation… “it used to cost a nickel; everything’s so expensive” bias. Immigration has been bipartisan problem for a while. Trump’s wall was stupid; ineffective, costly, and the Mexicans didn’t pay for it. War… pretty sure we got out of Afghanistan (would never have been clean, it wasn’t clean when we were there either) and aren’t in a war now, though we’re trying to support historic allies and not have Europe invaded. And yeah war was normal since 2001. Plus Trump is an idiot tyrant that loves authoritarianism and the gullible.

A lot of Americans aren't doing great today, but American is objectively in fantastic economic status. Compare America's economy in the last 3.5 years to the developed world. It's not even close. Strong GDP growth, low unemployment, strong dollar, inflation way below average, massive investment in onshore high tech manufacturing. We're also doing better than China, Germany, Korea, Russia and so many other countries demographically. You can dislike Biden but he's done more for investing in America's future than presidents dating back several decades.

@@goodolarchie America has always been fantastic economically compared to the rest of the world, not even close. Democrat's policies have devastated the middle class and turned our cities into crime ridden, blighted slums. Most jobs today pay little more than minimum wage. The dollar is weaker than ever. Cumulative Inflation has destroyed our purchasing power and our savings. Most manufacturing jobs have been driven overseas to China, India, Russia and Korea. America is objectively worse off by every measurable metric under Biden than it was under Trump.

Trump is not gonna fix your economy, nobody can tbh. It's sad how people think hard times can be overcome by electing tyrants to solve large world problems. Demography is collapsing, boomers are going to retirements world is gona start looking very grim everywhere in next 10-20 years world wide. And people with turn to demagogue, religions and dictators when this starts happening. Few will pursue science and innovation, which is the only way to overcome population decline and maintain civilisation in industrial age. Religious people will be the biggest obstacles that will block this progression forward. As they won't admit traditions, they can't work with economic growth. You can only have one
