I kind of understand that if you are one (like me) then you must still hold science near and dear and be appalled when scientists are generalized, like I would be if someone said "all biologists"... Maybe more concerning is that most such people developed similar views overnight. There's some gossip that in the case of Bill Nye there were otherwise threats without proof of allegations that would ruin him and his family. The last glacial period was around 11,500 years ago and in the end of an interglacial period which in terms of Earth a few thousand years (the last interglacial lasted 15,000 years the one before that 12,000 the one before that 37,000 then two 50,000 before that) isn't a lot the Earth gets warmer the ice retreats which raises the sea levels and the Earth's disasters becomes more dangerous before the ice comes in to stabilises it. If you compare this to the last interglacial period we aren't above it the water is 6.6m lower currently and polar temperatures being 3-5 degrees Celsius higher then today. Now that last one isn't the best example as the Earth had a very different orbit during that time and many interglacials differ this is nowhere near the hottest. Which interglacial period is going to be closer to ours who knows for certain but we didn't even past the last one on these regards which wasn't the warmest interglacial period.

Biological sex is not the same as gender, despite some people using the terms interchangably. Dawkins makes claims about biological sex, makes claims about behaviors based on biological sex, and frequently tries to stay clear of talking about social gender (as do I).
