49ers fan here, JJ Stokes was remembered as being the tall #3 receiver behind Rice and Owens. He frustrated us with dropping a lot of passes. Once though, my family was out to dinner with some friends and we saw JJ Stokes when we were leaving TGI Friday’s. He saw me and my friends staring and nervous to ask for an autograph, so he said to us “you all want an autograph?” And signed a napkin for each of us. I appreciate that to this day because he was on a date. My little story about the man spit on by Romanowski lol.
