Bloody Sajica! They will hybridize with anything. Had one for about 3 years and it must have paired with 4 different kinds of cichlid during that time.

lol, I normally separate closely related species - I’ve put something else in the tank today so hopefully the youngsters will get picked off.

@@BillsCichlidRoom I would have moved him on before now, but Mr Purple is the kids' favourite. He's grown into a stunning fish in fairness to him.

great video mate as always i bought 6 Balzinii myself went down to 1 i heated the tank myself to about 75 76 however the other 5 didn't die randomly they were killed. I i kept checking on them and one would be swimming with and eye missing then would die and that happened to 5 out the 6 so i either had a bad egg or this is normal behavior. i intend to buy more but not sure if you need to grow them out seperatly.

@@intergalacticmuffin7071 yes, some spaces at the front & a car park at the back. I think they were about £20 each, about 3 inches and in good condition.

Hi Bill, just wondered what most of your tank sizes are (lxwxh)? You mentioned a 3 foot tank which always seems a good size for some yours. Thanks
@BillsCichlidRoom6 ай бұрын
The bigger ones are 4 foot by 18” wide & 15” high, & 3 foot by 18 x 15. The small ones are 18” x 10” x 10” but I have them end on.

I've recently been looking at apistogramma again and noticed these wee fish don't seem to have as much interest in them as they used to have. Was just thinking you might be the man to get them back in the limelight again with that 3ft nanolutea tank!....... just saying 😂
@BillsCichlidRoom6 ай бұрын
Thanks Robert, I do like apistos, it’s a good idea, I’ll keep a look out for some interesting ones ;-)
