A beautiful end to thirteen

Anyone else here from thirteen? What an amazing series and final episode! Thanks to BBC 3 and all the cast for this amazingly performed series!

It really bugs me that Sony/Vevo can't credit the original artist. Especially when Billie Marten has made some incredibly beautiful and original songs, folks who are unaware might get the wrong impression and assume she wrote this song too. This is a cover of Out of the Black by Royal Blood if anyone was wondering.

Loved this at the end of Thirteen, brilliant and gripping show finished magnificently. The lyrics match Ivy's struggle and the serenity and gentleness of this version worked so well to add to it emotionally

Billie, you really managed to take the helpful sadness out of the song with your acoustic cover. It shows another spirit in place of the anger of the original song. I like her interpretation of the song. The dark meaning people often miss over Royal Blood's original, not that their original is bad. The dual versions of the song have a nice contrast that show both sides, both equally important.

I came here because I've been on a Billie Marten binge, but I'm also a huge fan of Royal Blood. I had no idea this was a cover until I heard the lyric "don't breathe when I talk cuz you haven't been spoken to" and I was like wait a minute, I know that lyric, and as I screamed it in my head like royal blood does I was like NO FREAKIN WAY this cover is sick.
