I'm overall outperforming a lot of assets by holding Bitcoin and a few other top crypto altcoins. When my percentage goes down it goes down about double that of the s&p100/500 but when it goes up it goes up like 5 times the S&P rate.

He also has a positive basis. It’s different to hold a company while you’re losing your initial investment vs losing some of your profit. If he sold he would owe over $1 B in taxes. Tesla is still over valued. It’s just all the musk fan boys buying the stock after he spoke on the earnings call. People are quick to forget the last earnings call where musk said BYD was beating Tesla. That has not changed. The cars don’t hold their value well and autopilot is terrible. If the government stops tarring BYD and subsiding Tesla their sales will plummet.

People dont understand that the prices of things are never going back down. This inflation is deeper than we think. Those buying groceries are well aware that the real inflation is much over 10%. Current FSD is great as a toy for now, key point is that the human driver HAS to pay attention and be ready to take over at any moment. That is Level 2 or 2.5, not nearly enough for a robotaxi. Waiting for the moment when Tesla will take responsibility (assume liability) for the accidents where FSD was involved...only then it will be FSD.

Not now from my experience. My model S is using a free month of FSD and it is disappointing. My 2017 Model S with camera upgrade has not been paying attention to my preferred routes home. It wants to drive where it thinks it should drive. I have a preferred route for a reason, and it should be paying attention. Also the car hesitates annoyingly when pulling into an intersection sometimes. For this to work well the car has to be at least as good a driver as I am. Right now it just makes me nervous the entire time.

Slowey but surely as the tech evolves. Then when its clear to everyone its too late to be early. But it will still be fun to use the tech when its fully developed. Reminds me when I was a younger man and sold plasma tv's. People were amazed at them being 4" thick and weighing in at 60lb. I remember they were 720p and put out allot of heat. They also had screen burn issues and viewing angle issues. Rich People paid close to $6,000 for them. Today 4k LCD at Walmart is $500 or less. Electric is obviously better suited for the job than gas. And I love my V8 sound and vibes. But think about how reliable your Dewalt drill is. Instant power delivery no RPM ramp up, no transmission, no radiator etc. The ability to put power back into the system not just 1 way. So many reasons electric is better than gas. We just need the tech to develop and it is. CTAL's new battery already putting 500 mile range in a few cars in China and charge to 80% in 10 min. Soon we wont need lithium. Already the case for the latest batteries. We had 100 years to make the ICE good and we maxed out around 40% efficiency. EV motors are already over 85% thermally efficient. That type of data matters if your looking forward.

Everything hinges on Elon. Maybe he changes his mind to lead Tesla and does something else. What happens then? Too much of the driving direction comes from him with no succession or contingency plan.

Thought so too, when someone gives a bunch of public relations gobbledygook, that turns me off, I would rather stay focus on the fundamentals and for the time being Tesla stock is overvalued and return rate is subpar. Not seeing this on the upside until after 2025+

It's not that it stopped for pedestrian, it's that it *proceeded after pedestrian waved it thru!* Of course it defers to all 'vulnerable road users', pedestrians, cyclists, etc. That doesn't necessarily indicate the car is currently recognizing gestures, tho it might be, more likely it's reacting to pedestrian pausing at curb.

Was in the market shopping for a new vehicle, Model Y vs Lexus RX, pricing a bit higher for Lexus, but the quality ride with its amazing suspension and how quite the cabin was on highway speeds, was the deciding factor to choose Lexus over Tesla and not having to be worry running out of battery juice when going on long trips and looking for charging stations with long waiting lines. Once there is more infrastructure, might give EVs another look.
