If anyone was as interested as me: West Ham won 1-0 against Arsenal on the 2nd of November 1991 so I guess the gig was that day. Mike Small scored from outside the box. It was unusual since Arsenal were reigning champions of the Premiership and West Ham were just promoted into it.

All musicians should ban phones at their shows Saw Dylan last month it was so nice no phones waving around and a Ry Cooder show did the same thing.

This show was broadcasted by Barney Simon on 5fm in South Africa sometime in the 90s. It made me a lifelong Billy Bragg fan. Happy to discover this video today.

I am currently reading a book about Billy called "Billy Bragg" and it's not very good. I saw Billy when he was an opening act for Echo & the Bunnymen in New Orleans man-years ago. I stood in front of Billy as an opening act and I was the only one. Billy deserves more credit than he is given. I bought his album "The Milk of Human Kindness." Apparently human kindness is not appreciated by too many.. Perhaps in Britain he gets more credit & I sincerely hope so.
