Wow Billy Cobham sharp as ever, what an inspiration

Maestro, Billy, is in his 78th year!

I had heard that the Billy Cobham/George Duke band was going to play at The Rainbows End in Willamsburg Virginia and I really just went to them opening for Return To Forever & the Romantic Warrior Tour! I quickly bought 7 tickets for this quaint up close and personal nightclub (I caught Chaka Rufusized Tour prior). Two days before the show, I told 6 of my closest bros that I was taking them to the show, I was driving and I was setting the mood for the show as long as they're willing to stand outside in line to get inside. Two beat us but four of us got front row seats so close that we might have touched them! Two buds got second row but there was no complaints at all that wonderful evening. John Schofield on lead guitar and Alfponso Johnson on bass. I am most grateful for my dad's jazz influence and that my crew allowed me to make a memory that we shall always remember. My major credit without any doubt, is I had Freak Out/Frank Zappa @ age 13 and HE was in my blood-type for my entire LIFE LOVE & JOY (Special Thanks to Dot Stein for knowing exactly how I feel!!)

It is so great to hear Stratus played live. Having grown up in that era, and having Spectrum on my iPhone and still listening to it from time to time; hearing Cobham never gets old. I really enjoyed this.
