You cannot help but love the man, he's been part of our collective lives for so long, an honesty and integrity from a guy who knows exactly who he is and where he came from ..... We will miss him when he's gone.

Such a good-hearted, caring man. He has given so much of himself to everyone over the years, we all feel we know him as a friend. He is one of the most alive, positive people I've ever seen anywhere. Im a huge fan of Billy im from Ireland and he makes me laugh every time i watch him on tv he is a legend and a genius he is a credit to Glasgow and Scotland.😊

@@adamglasgow9268 You're not from Glasgow Adam. If you were, you'd understand that being from Glasgow isn't really the same a being Scottish. I'm Glaswegian to the core. But I' Scottish or British in equal measure. Being Glaswegian matters far more. That Glasgow is in Scotland is something I appreciate. But if it were in Poland, Latvia, Kabul or Rio I would not care. It's a unique city and one that doesn't owe it's character to Scotland. Glasgow established Scotland. Not the other way around. You'll no doubt disagree. Butbeing Glaswegian is special. Can't be explained. Only London, New York, Paris and possibly Rome come close.

@@robinmcewen3286👍 I almost agree and would put Glasgow on the same map with New York, London,etc.. but I don't agree that it would be the same anywhere else.. If it was south of the border, it would be compared to Manchester and Birmingham (who both don't like to be compared in the first place..) 🤔 And there is one special advantage: Every time you leave Glasgow, you are in the middle of Scotland 😉 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Did you not hear the bit where he says that his *"love of Glasgow has always been matched with an urge to leave."* ? Which is understandable when you consider his childhood, which involved abandonment, abuse & molestation. See the trick is to listen before spouting off like a jackass.
