@@reggiewright Hi Reggie, love the channel and your point of views concerning many topics around Death Row, 2Pac and I know how much love you got for Pac but I think that Billy Garland was just mislead to believe that you or anyone around DR had anything to do with his death. I just wanted to say this because I think Billy deserves to tell his side of the story, I got so much respect for Afeni and I will never bad mouth her even tho she certainly made mistakes cuz we all do, but I think Billy should say what he got to say and we’ll see, hey personally I would have preferred for John and Billy to do an interview but unfortunately the groupie was on it lol, anyways peace to you and sorry for the long comment! 🙏🏾

C'mon Reg, the guy doesn't come off like he was dad of the century but despite how Pac claims he felt about his dad fact still remains that everybody wants to know where they come from. He showed up when Pac was critically wounded but I'm sure he knew Pac was his son when Pac appeared on "Same Song" back in 1991 and if not then I know he had to know when he seen Pac in the Movie "Juice" he didn't show up after "Poetic Justice" either. But could it be possible that this man did look for his son but couldn't find him because a bitter woman scorned hid him and chsnged his name and movedhim way across the other sideof the country? It has to bare some sort of confusion when your a part of a family where no one looks like you, not even your mother and Afini who is a great woman and has done amazing things in her life also has to share in the hardship that Pac was forced to endure, neither of them gets parent of the year, the only reason Afeni is held in such regard is because Pac was able to sift through all of her bullsh!t and see the greatness that crack cocaine didn't tarnish. Yes, Afeni did beat her case acting as her own defense and yes she did a lot of greatful things in the name of the people but you can't win today's game with yesterday's score. The only person who should have any judgment on either Billy or Afeni should be Tupac Amaru Shakur or Lesan Parish Crooks.

I am not a fan of Reggie but he is absolutely correct on this topic. As a loyal fan of Tupac, most of us know more about Tupac than Garland does and nothing or no one could stop us from knowing his whereabouts and status. If what these commenters are saying is true about Garland, knowing he himself said Afeni brought Tupac to his house and he turned them away because he was married; added with him not being in his life until he was near passing. Why didn't Garland come around to support and build a relationship with Tupac only, considering he never financially contributed to caring for him or paying child support? Instead he sued the mother who was present for money he felt he was entitled to. Make it make sense.

How can you call this man’s father a deadbeat if you don’t know the situation. You should know that if a black woman is scorn or angry with the man who is her baby’s father and she doesn’t want the father in her or her babies life then they will make a way for it to be just that way. To call him a deadbeat would be if he knew about Tupac all of those years and just didn’t care to meet him or be there for his son. But from 2Pac’s perspective, he didn’t know who is daddy was he had several men in and out of his life that Afeni was dealing with. And from Billy garlands perspective Afeni made it to where he couldn’t be in 2Pac’s life. Because she was bitter about him marrying his new wife and having kids in starting a new life .But I feel the minute he had the opportunity to do so once 2Pac was an adult. He made sure that he went to go see his son in the hospital after he got shot at quad studios. And has it ever dawned on you that Afeni was messing with so many men that neither she nor Tupac or the men she slept with knew who is the father was.

You forget that Pac lived in that same area Billy was at for 14 years. He definitely could have been there but he ditched him at 5. Pac had two other dads he claimed: Legs and Mutulu. Legs up and left, Mutulu went to prison, they moved to Baltimore in 85 and they stayed there until 88 when they moved to the West Coast in Marin County, California and that’s when Pac and Afeni became estranged due to her addiction. Where was Billy then? With his other family! He just didn’t give a fuck. Not denying he had regrets but he skipped on Pac for the nine years Pac stayed in East Harlem. Sorry not buying it.

Seems like there are a lot of men in the comments who have had bad experiences with women lying about the paternity of children or keeping dads away from their children. (YES, that is wrong) All I would ask is if you go back and watch some of the old BG interviews, you will hear some questionable comments regarding Tupac & Afeni. As such, there is blame to be passed around between both. Some of you have mentioned Afeni's drug use, that is even more so a reason a "father who truly loved his son" could have went and EASILY been awarded custody then, when Tupac truly needed him, not popping up when Tupac was already a star.❤

Ppl need to stop making excuses for this man. Whether you’re a father or mother, nigga when have kids out there that you know of then YOU must be held accountable and do everything you can to be in that child’s life. Saying Afeni moved from here to there which is why he wasn’t in his life is a cop out. And on top of that you get paid from the estate for just getting off a nut? That ain’t coo.

Exactly. People keep acting like this was 2022 instead of the 1970's and 1980's. They have internet, social media, cellphones, and all this other technology. Finding someone who kept moving from state to state was far more difficult than it is today.

@CLB The Vision People today have no clue. They're living in a world where they can pull up anything they want to know on their smartphones. ANYTHING! They can't imagine a world where everything wasn't at their fingertips. You could move one town over back then and disappear. If you didn't know where a person was, it was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

I’m glad Billy Garland is getting a chance to tell his story!! But! I’m sorry, there would be NOTHING that could stop me from seeing my child! I just watched the most recent interview with Billy and it puts things in perspective. He said he was in Pac’s life early, as early as 3,,,but listening to the Pac clip included here, he did not mention it. maybe he was too young to remember. He said he lost contact until he saw Pac in Juice. He heard that Pac could’ve been in Baltimore. i just think, he was fighting his own demons and wasn’t an active dad and then it was too late when he got clean cause sadly Pac passed away! 💔🙏🏾
