Not only that, he became a freaking Mayor of some town and now has a FACE BOOK page were he dose birthday party's. What he should do is pick up a phone or take a flight and ask Brodys son and wife for forgiveness and help then with some money to pay the bills that were left over. Guys an evil animal.

Bruiser could of survived but nobody in the locker room helped him after he got stabbed. He laid there for 30min bleeding, and the only person who help him was Tony Atlas. The promoters and wrestlers where all in on it.

Broke my heart when his son said "everybody has a great Brody story except me" my heart just sunk and I remember my eyes getting watery. I think his son just made the news recently for a DUI. Nor sure if I heard here but I can just imagine the pain and torment that poor kid must of gone through and I blame a lot of Brodys so called best friends or brothers that on film say how much Brody meant to them and how close they were, well then where were you when that kid needed a father figure? Dosen't take much to take one day a month and take him a a game or play some catch. So sad.

And all those guys who said they saw nothing are yellow cowards, especially RIC Fliar which I must admit I love him as a wrestler but when asked what did he do when he heard what happened, his cowered answer was " I just kept trying my boots." Pos.Bruier Broady was my favorite wrestler before that he was know as King Kong Brody. I remember him and the Barbarian as partners, man their was a team...Brody with his "Hus" and Barbarian with "Hoof." Just wonderful and a group of no good greedy as fk idiots took him away from us. Poor Bruiser Brody his murder trial was blotched, many American wrestlers including Tony Atlas were served with court papers to attend trial to testify until after the trial.

It's my understanding, that he was found not guilty in a court of law in P.R. So Double Jeopardy prevents him from being tried again for this crime. Maybe one day, if someone gets pissed off enough at him, he'll get to know what it's like to be on the other end of the blade. RIP Bruiser Brody.

The eyewitnesses were notified about the trial after it was over. Bruiser was gutted. The killer got off scott free. Puerto Rican justice.

Double jeopardy is being convicted and punished for the same crime twice, which isn't what is happening here. If new evidence was found, they could 100% try the alleged murderer again. Unfortunately it seems it's corruption that is preventing justice from being served here and not the absence of new evidence or potential witnesses... think of the movie Ghosts of Mississippi and not Double Jeopardy

Fact is Gonzales took him to the shower block with a covered knife for the purpose of killing him which he did. The complete murder was covered up, witnesses were stood over and others not called to testify. Brody may have been stiff or a standover man as a wrestler,i'm not sure about that but had this happened in thew states Gonzales would be doing life and Brody may have survived in a proper hospital. In any case it's coming up to the day of his death and wrestling lost one of the best big men of all time.

Being in the Chicago region, we never got to see Bruiser Brody on TV except for the occasional appearance at WCCW or on the old NWA Saturday show. Every time I hear about this or read about this it makes my blood boil.

I don't want to mention names but I know 2 persons that are inside the Puerto Rican wrestling association and they told me what happened that day. The cops know what happened too but it's like a mafia and people with power that made this case to be closed. They're like legends in P.R. so nobody touch them.

The owner of that company was and I think still to this day Carlos " Carlitos" Colon and his best friend guess who it was? Yup Jose Gonzales aka Invader #1 so you already know how when. I heard that Carlos Colon I owed him money and got him killed so he didn't have to pay back.

It was never recovered, but it wasn't 15" blade. Back in those days here in Puerto Rico the common knife people carried in their pockets was 6" at most, and that's what Invader had in his pocket when Brody started choking him to death.

Funny that Manny Fernandez claims to have gotten some payback, when he broke Invader #3 ribs and he was puking blood by the gallon. But Invader #3 was not involved in the brody incident, in fact he was helping Atlas to communicate with the police. Invader #3( Johnny Rivera) is a beloved character and in high regards even with Andre the Giant.

The name is Jose Huertas. Gonzales is his mother's maiden name. In Puerto Rico they use the mother's last name and father's last name, Jose Huertas Gonzalez. The wife do not pick on the husband's last name. Brody was the best in PR. We loved him.

There's a lot of excuses such as Gonzalez losing a daughter to drowning a few days before the murder. Okay, if that's the case why the hell was he wrestling when that level of tragedy happened? If that was anyone else, they would be in pieces - the man murder Brody in cold blood; he got away with it. Apparently, one of the wrestlers was arguing and screaming at him because he was trying to leave the building and he did, during the investigation. He returned later in clean clothes minus the murder implement. Brody left behind a devastated son and wife. He was very independent and looked after no.1 but off ring he was a nice guy as most of them are. There's no excuse for that murderer walking around free today

I am from Puerto Rico, I grow up with wrestling on tv, soon enough I got to know of the "fake" of it. I learn to respect this people who put their bodies on the line to please us the public. I learn from the murder of Brody at hands of the invader (Huertas) it serve me to realize "this people are like any other, they make mistakes and pay the prize" Because a comment of one of the many visitors in you tube I went into a long argument whit one lady who spell nothing but hate to any person from Puerto Rico. I ended the argument because I can not handle a racist who only vomits hate. Thanks to Billy and Hannibal for helping to know a bit more about the Brody. And to any one searching were to vomit hate to Puerto Rico just for the fact of the murder of the Brody, please be forgiving because the Brody was a religious man so I believe he must not approve to dispense hate on his name. P.S. in Puerto Rico most people refer to him as The Brody as respect.

Well I believe (with no evidence of course) the heat was between Brody and Huertas. Just logic, no other wrestler got injured again. The "conspiracy" of every one vs Brody is some what illogical. Since the tragedy the U.S. and international wrestlers avoid Puerto Rico for many years (and with good reason) the $$$ lost in it was more of what the company allegedly "owed" Brody. My logic of course.

the paramedics thought it was a work at the show, because the company often used ambulances,, the medics were in no hurry. he died at the hospital.

no, i think that was manny fernandez vs invader 3. A lot of people say that match was a shoot as retribution for invader 1 killing brody. I'm no doctor, but that match seemed like a pretty obvious work. Those knees didnt even connect, and the rumour is that Invader drank vodka and pigs blood before the match. I'm not 100% sure, but i even heard that that match was 2 months before Brody died, so who the fuck knows what was going on.

i was stationed in peurto rico and went to alot of matches in san juan...brody was suppose to lose to this guy and brody refused....he pins gonzalez and is in the shower when he gets killed , tony atlas and another wrestler was in the locker room and refused to be a witness to the crime...sucks that he died...RIP brody.

Brody was no saint.. he would stick it to promoters... he would take liberties.. and intentionally no sell, snubbing fans out of what coulda been good matches... and what few people know is Gonzalez lost a daughter not too long before the shower stabbing.... this and the fact that gonzalez would ask..PLEASE do NOT book me with Brody... he always hurts me...i am NOT condoning murder... Some what he got ostracised. At the time fabe was pretty real, so they pull the strings to make believe Brody was the wild man he portrayed. He plead self defense and since the most powerful witness (tony atlas) fail to testify (a story on itself look for interviews) Invader was found not guilty of murder. He did time served for manslaughter (self defense). But as time passed kayfabe crumpled and he is basically a mockery, a old wrestler holding to WHAY pass glory and that huge shadow on him.

i actually was there that night, wrestling on an under card. i walked in and saw brody bleeding and he whispered help me. i turned and walk back out. someone had turned the lights on so i turned them back off. wasn't my business. got out of wrestling shortly after.

I just want to give a shout out to Billy Graham and for sure Brody--now I have been around the streets, so to speak, and definitely around the block; I have also known quite a few cold blooded real murderers--they were all pretty much cowards, as is obviously this piece of garbage, jose gonzalez, who murdered Brody in cold blood. But the point of where I am going with this is that I am positive, and I mean I would stake my life on what I am about to say here, and that is that I know for sure, by the way that gonzalez, that piece of garbage, by the way that gonzalez murdered Brody that he had killed before! You see, to go aross a man's intestines with a knife, is a well-known technique and knife-striking death-blow clearly designed and practiced to inflict death, not wounding, but death. This thing we will call a "man", called gonzalez, knew what he was doing and clearly has killed before.....this was not some freak accident or a man who didn't know how to use a knife...in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he had already had a prison or rap sheet before this occurred and/or grew up in Puerto Rico, or some other slum , and had seen and been taught and used a knife before. Even the way he conceiled the knife is a common jail house method....this pig gonzalez is no good and in no way should live out a free, or long life.
