Been listening to this song for decades but I’m crying the whole way thru this time. Your love story is a rock for me…as I am a victim of narcissistic/alcoholic/physical and mental abuse. I watch the way you look at each other as well as hearing your lovely sentiments to each other. I’ve commented before, Dominika, on how he looks at you with such love and you are always gracious !!! He is attentive to you, when he pauses the song he turns his whole body toward you, giving you every ounce of his being. And your love language is such a gift to me…one I wish I had. Watching you two gives me hope JUST BEAUTIFUL 😍

I'm coming from a different perspective - I found out too late that she didn't love me for "the way I am" but rather for what she thought she could change and mold me into. When that didn't work for her she went "bed hopping". Yes! Life ISN'T Fair!

One of the all time greatest love song though played so much on FM radio stations in the late 2970’s and into the mid 1980’s that my late wife and I did not want our wedding band to play it when we married back in the mid 1980’s. Well the band played it any way and we laughed about it. I still miss her more than 20 years later!

This song was written in the 70s as a gift for his first wife, Elizabeth. He’s had his problems in relationships over the years, but I don’t think anyone can deny he loves deeply judging by the songs he has written for his significant others. Billy Joel can do it all. This song is on the same album as The Stranger, two very different takes on relationship. If you want to hear some dark songs,btry Goodbye Saigon, or Allentown, or an early tune about addiction titled Captain Jack. Billy was a hit machine.

Oh my gosh, this was such a treat watching you react to this beautiful, timeless song! I love seeing couples who are clearly in love. The way you looked at each other was so sweet, even though you seemed kind of embarrassed sharing that moment with thousands of strangers on KZfaq. There were a few times when Dominika looked at Andrei and it was like the years dropped off of her and she was a teenager or twenty something again, experiencing young love.💕 Perfect reaction to this song. Billy Joel is a great singer songwriter & composer from the 70's-90's. He is one of the best-selling music artists of all time. The whole "Stranger" album is great. "Just The Way You Are" is my favorite song from that album. Other songs are "Movin' Out (Anthony's Song)", "Only The Good Die Young", "She's Always A Woman", "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant" etc.
