I was 15 when Billy Idol started becoming popular. Sweet, innocent, daddy’s girl. Long dark hair, just wore a touch of makeup. Baggy prim and proper cloths. I was shy, quite and meek. I stayed home and got good grades. I didn’t know how to talk to guys. My moms best friend asked if I could travel with her for a month in the summer to be her nanny. My mom helped me pack a suit case and kissed me goodbye..... A month later she welcomed home (somewhat to her horror) a completely transformed punk rock teenager who cut of her long dark hair to sport short bleach blond spikes. A lot more make up and tight clothing. In the midnight hour she cries more, more, more. Like a rebel yell, she cries more, more, more... more, more, more ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻 We lived in a small farming community. Everybody knew everybody. That day I got home my mom asked me to go to the Local Ma n Pa grocery store to pick up a few things. I can still remember walking through the store and seeing this guy I had been crushing on. The old me would have been invisible... the new me put a swing on my hips, head held high I walked right passed him holding eye contact. I still remember the look he gave me... like WHO IS THAT GIRL!?!?! It was the first time I realized I didn’t have to be invisible. With a rebel yell, she cries MORE, MORE, MORE... 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 The 1980s were somewhat magical

I lived my teen years in the 80's, literally. Billy Idol was was a bad, bad, bad boy from England - and I wished nothing more than to be old enough to go to a concert. Finally was able to in '86-'87 - though had to sneak outta my house to do it. LOL. By those years, I was rollin' deep in the rock, hard rock, metal, and stoner scene. Best era and music decade ever. I loved dancing to the song MONY MONY by Billy Idol back in the late 80’s. There was a group/crowd chant that was sung along with the song. (Also, If I remember right, I learned Billy Idol came up with the song MONY MONY because he was across from a bank named MONY. ) But anyway, in the first verse, the lyrics are: “Here she come now sayin', "Mony, Mony" Shoot 'em down, turn around, come on, Mony” So when listening to this, there is a perfect chance in between these two lines of song where everyone around you sings “Say! Hey what? Get laid, Get F$&#ed”! It goes like this: Billy: Here she come now sayin', "Mony, Mony" Crowd: “Say! Hey, what? Get laid, get fu
