DOOM was popular when he first came out tho. mad villian came out in like 2004 and that album was super popular (with people who like that kinda hip hop), I remember buying his first albums when I was in high school early 2000s and a lotta other people were into underground hip hop like that.

Mega Aesop Rock fan, but when I found Woods through Your Old Droog, it was almost like finding the god damn arc of the covenant. Woods, Milo, and Ka are my holy trinity right now, and Elucid's the fuckin' pope. Haven't listened to much else in months.
