Thanks man! Worked for me. For those who are asking about the combox menu option, you have to first code the first ones and hit CODE. Then go back to combox menu and click expert mode once again and then you will do the final one and CODE that last one.

This works! *You have to code both sections separately* it was definitely scary with the warnings on the app. READ THE WARNINGS FULLY AND FOLLOW THEM OR IT WONT WORK PROPERLY. Bimmer code does also cost $39.00. Pricey but well worth it in my opinion. I wish I would have done this two years ago when I got the car.

I can confirm this works on a 2014 f30. Thank you for posting these, super helpful and appreciated. The only thing I would add is that I had to make sure I had bluetooth audio checked on my device through the iDrive settings. It may be easier to remove and add you device again, ensuring you have both phone and bluetooth audio selected.

Just did on my 328d. You actually have to select the phone in idrive to enable audio fully. Too bad it seems it doesnt give song info ( artist etc) on headunit via spotify. Havent tried via music directly on my phone yet though Thanks for this vid!

There is a horribly long lag on audio when i stream videos through the factory Bluetooth from my 2016 BMW328i and i heard that this streaming lag is common with BMWs, have you encountered this issue? And if yes. Does the Bluetooth adapter fix it? THANKS

I have a com box on my F48 and I’m able to play music wirelessly and even pair a second phone. I cannot get album art and I tried to follow your steps but some of the options to change did not show up on my OBDLinkCX module using BimmerCode? Are menu options different from one coder or another? Thanks

Sorry not the most experienced. Do you have to select code after each menu? Or once at the end.. so In this instance after selecting active in the head unit, do you then select code, and then once coded go in to the comb unit select active and then code again or can just select active in both menus and press code at the end?

I have a '15 328i Sportline and because in my Android ROM building days I bricked a device or 3 I just want to be sure that my black TCB-01 Combox is going to work with this method. The combox in the video was silver and one can't be too sure when dealing with a car ECU. I've already used the Bimmercode android app for other changes but haven't delved into expert mode yet

Hey so I know this is a bit of an old video but hopefully you can offer a bit of help or can point me in the right direction. so I have a com box in my trunk, it looks alittle different than the one you showed a picture of. but in my bimmercode the 3004 for me shows "3004 System_einstellungen" looks to be in german? and I am missing everything except the BT mod and the audio player under the 3003 section.

Best upgrade, yet! I wanted to have the ability to hop in my car (2013 BMW 328i w/ M Sport) and just drive. I hated having to physically connect to the car. Love just jumping in and having the ability to instantly play my audio from the phone (iPhone 6S), directly through the car's stereo!

It allows you to play music from your phone without the Bluetooth adapter. It does exactly what the Bluetooth adapter does, just without that adapter and audio cable.

What up man!! I was able to code everything into my 2014 bmw 320i and It gives me the option for Bluetooth audio on my head unit but for some reason when I click activate Bluetooth audio nothing happens on the car and I am not able to use bluetooth. Any ideas of what I can do ?

Whats sad is that any car safe to say past 2012 has bluetooth music audio. But BMW lacks to catch up. Like is it that hard. they give us fancy idrive systems you would think that would be something to add on.

I would read through the bimmerpost forum link I posted and see if anyone has your similar issue. Coding can vastly vary depending on each and every car So there is no “one answer for all” unfortunately.

When I get into my BMW F 30 and I don’t start the car and not the ignition I can’t connect my phone with Bluetooth and when I stop the car it’s working for 15 minutes and then it stops and I can’t reconnect my iPhone with Bluetooth I have to turn the ignition on again and then I can connected. Can I pass this with BimmerCode ?

I’m still trying to figure out what it does. My car currently does this: -has a com box - connects via Bluetooth without any cables or additional adapters, just syncs to the car. - plays music via Bluetooth through the car(no artwork) -if i plug in via usb, also plays music through that(with artwork) From what i can see, the “advanced Bluetooth” would allow me to have artwork added with Bluetooth? Other then that i can’t figure out what all it would add to what came stock with the car. Just curious! Loving the content man!

Yeah it can be done just down load the bimmercode app choose one the Bluetooth adapters in the sight and plug it in. Follow this video and the chart displayed halfway through the video to unlock Bluetooth.

When i first bought my car is can connect Bluetooth only for a contacts it's don't have Bluetooth audio at all !! And then after i see this video and i follow what you said IT'S WORK PERFECT for me Thanks a lot i really appreciate that you keep upload all of that stuff at first i design to buy a Carplay MMI After i watched this video YOU SAVE MY LIFE HAHAHAHA Thankssssss

PeetKhalifa before yu coded anything did comibox menu show in yur bimmercode app. I do everything in headunit menu but cant seem to find comibox menu. Thanks for any help

John Aguilar it’s kind of weird that my combox is not in a section headunit is in a regular menu like when you click in a export mode you will see it right away at first I thought I don’t have too i find in a headunit but is actually in the section menu itself not in headunit

@@ThicWhips hey man thanks for coming back to me..it gives you the chance to select bluetooth audio but when i select it,it goes into the screen with small circle as if it searching its rotating very slowly just stays like that..thanks for your help
