I used this app to adjust the strength (percentage) of my halos and how bright I want my daytime running lights etc. Such a great and easy app to use. Definitely recommend to others as well.

I'm not sure why, but I had problems with mine. I had to be real persistent. At one time I couldn't access the Combox module, other times I couldn't access the Headunit module... Than I couldn't restore... Then I backed up the data in Storage/BimmerCode/backup directory on my phone and then reinstalled the app. Combox module was still out, BimmberCode asked to restore and then it worked. After that, I tried programming the Headunit again and it saved the coding data after a few tries. I then did the same for the Combox and it worked!!! BE PERSISTENT, this works, thanks a lot bro!!!

I was scared at first because i couldn't leave headunit without pressing code, in your video you said to just get out of there. but after that finished coding then i went into combox and completed finished the setup the pressed code a second time. It worked! This was a part of hooking up my sisters bmw for her bday! she was never able to play bluetooth music on her phone, only make calls! if only i had knew sooner! thanks man was a lot of help!

This is a must have. Idk why it's off in the first place. The center console doesn't have a spot for the aux cable so they get squished and broken by the arm rest

Hey originally didn’t have enhance Bluetooth but watched ur video and was able To Connect for over a year. But for over a month now my car just says please wait when I try to connect my fone Bluetooth it doesn’t play radio cd or usb and noticeable watching ur video again and following the instructions after exiting the head unit. I notice there was no combos menu on the Bimmer code page. Any ideas what my be causing this issue. Thanks much.

Question: Is there a way to activate “Lane Assist”? When flashing a light on the tachometer, I can see the icons for lane assist. I have a 2016 BMW 428i Gran Coupe XDrive. I’m guessing my specific model has that option but it’s not active. Also, the cars original sticker and manual does not show lane assist as an option (even though I can see the icon when light is flashed on the tachometer). Side note: I know the cars with lane assist usually has a button for it, mine does not, but I know the option is there. Thanks..

Most manufacturers use the same gauge cluster for various models and to have lane assist you need to have the sensors and if the car doesn’t come with those sensors activating it would be no help. At the same time you need to wire the button for it too

I sometimes have problems with the artist, album, and track displaying. The data from a previous song is partially displayed. I especially have a problem with it when I switch from my mobile phone music player to Spotify. However, the songs are played well and im Happy about that

The combox is a silver box located in the trunk under the trunk cover. And I believe you have to enter the “combox” tab in BimmerCode and if you dont have a combox you will not be able to access the tab.

@@Metoy3r Thanks for that. Yeah I don't have the Combox tab in BimmerCode. I tried the rest of the coding though, so the BT audio now shows up in Idrive, I just can't connect to it. I guess I just have to go with an aux Bluetooth adapter or an Echo Auto.

@@Metoy3r I have an e60. It only had BT for phones. I did a ton of research to make sure I bought the right combox, but now it doesn't see BT at all. I'll have to research again. Great job on the video though.

@@Metoy3rmate I really appreciate for getting back 🙏 yes I did turn off BT module ,the thing I was changing my small screen to android screen , guy came installed it and at the end when we tried to play KZfaq songs the aux wouldn't work so I restored everything in bimmercode (was scared a bit tbh)and then aux start working but BT won't so I don't know what to do, guy said its first time happening. No, some bmw don’t come with Bluetooth audio for music. So coding this will allow you to have Bluetooth audio. If your car already has it then it is not necessary to code

I done all the steps everything worked however my bmw F30 fails to load when I press Bluetooth (audio) it’s on an infinite loading screen and never loads I’ve decoded and coded it again following all the steps you did but still doesn’t load. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

I have no idea man. I never understood why some bmws are coded from factory with it and some aren’t. Maybe just a feature you purchase? Idk tbh

But this cancels AUX front input, if you try playing anything through AUX it won’t work.

Well that’s kind of the point. There’s no need for AUX after you code the Bluetooth

@@Metoy3r I understand however I have just purchased MMi apple and android unit and the only way you can activate voice is via AUX input, I had to set it back to factory today. Which was such a shame
