Another great video Vladimir! I'd add one more thing to 'preparing usb' section. Make sure your drive is formatted using MBR (Master Boot Record) partition style, not GPT (GUID Partition Table). Modern PC's use GPT by default. Some time ago I spent like 2 hours reformatting different USB Drives because CIC unit could not detect any of my drives, until I realized all of them were GPT style. Easiest 'fix' is to delete all partitions on usb drive using Windows Disk Management then create new partition using MBR.

Unfortunately not. HDD does not have enough space allocated for maps to fit both regions.

Yes Next refers to regular NBT and it uses FSC Short

Way map update requires fsc long So another tools are needed. But it’s doable.

Unfortunately Route maps fsc cannot be generated by yourself. You have to buy that.

Hi I have a question Does the update of the map also change the version? I mean that letter at the end of ‘NBTevo_’ For example I have NBTevo_P.. and after the update, do I will have for example NBTevo_X version? Or will it stay by NBTevo_P regardless of the map update?

Negative. That version shows software (istep) level of the headunit. Map update updates map version (like nbt evo 2023-01 for sample)

Move maps are not very wide spread, haven’t tested on those. But you can try.

On MGU it’s still hard to do. But not impossible. Easiest way is still via OEM FSC code for a lot of money.

If I remember correctly then dcan cannot read out 1B file to generate FSC. ICOM is needed for that.

Hi BimmerDoc, I have changed CIC in my F10 to professional one, but navigation is not active. ISTA says that CIC not coded. I'm going to write my car VIN to HU (it is donor one), but I'm afraid to lose even music function after VIN write procedure. Is it possible to lose existing HU functionality after VIN change and do I have to write new sertificates after VIN change, to enable Navigation feature? Thanks.

I recently converted my NBT Next headunit from Japan to Europe by replacing the VO codes and changing the Map_Vairient to ECE, Will I need anything else to do before loading the map? Note: after I did those changes the Map doesnt load and the version info is now blank

Japan market is very different that’s why current conversion is not straight forward procedure.

Да конечно. Это значит что нет FSC кода для самой функции навигации. Так бывает например, если ГУ заменили.

Not 100% true. It’s possible to hack nbt evo and that’s why use not official fsc codes. But Entrynav2 for example is not hacked and only OEM fsc codes has to be used to update navigation maps.

Владимир, приветствую. Может доводилось сталкиваться? EVO ID5 пропачен с помощью FemtoEvo + смена региона US > EU + FSC для карт предположительно lifetime. 4 года обновлял карты без проблем, в этом году не могу - ничего не помогает, просит USB с ключом.

Подскажи пожалуйста, натыкался как-то на форумах, что при активации CarPlay неофициальным методом, либо проводя "махинации" другого рода с головным устройством, например использование FSC Long кода как в данном видео, то при использовании программы bimmercode будет вылазить ошибка блока Headunit, и невозможно будет кодировать ГУ через данное приложение. Используя твой способ активации CarPlay и получения FSC Long, будет выдавать данную ошибку ?

При обновлении ПО стараются все скрипты кодировки. Тоесть да надо будет заново активировать. Я делаю пожизненные а не одноразовые коды. Точнее мой бот делает 😉

Владимир, добрый день! Подскажите, f34 из Кореи, голова nbt evo id6, попробовал русифицировать по вашему видео, в FA удалил корейский язык 867 и длбавил 6UD. Приборка русифицировалась, а голова нет, пропали вообще языки, одни иконки остались, вернул обратно 867, голова заработала, как раньше, приборка на русском осталась… В данном случае так не русифицировать?

Да это стало возможно и не через оф коды. Все что могу на данный момент рассказать это то что это делается на столе. Через OBD MGU пока еще не взломана.

Вялікі Дзякуй Владимир! Весь Ваш контент годный и зачётный! Яшчэ раз Дзякуй! Когда-то обновлял карты 2017 на cic, все успешно прошло, но при генерации кода при первом запуске машинка код не приняла, парень который бесплатно высылал его (временный бонус был на drive2) сказал что ГУ или перешли или... Что то сделали, т. Е родной код по вин не подошёл, он выслал другой, с ним заработало и обновление карт установилось! Но время идёт, чай на дворе 23 год, реально ли сейчас обновить карты? Е61 2009 г. Благодарствую.

I download the maps and put them on a 32 GB USB and my car (F22) says „Map is not complete/manipulated“. I don’t have the FSC-file. Where do I get it? I use the official BMW map updater

You are definitely doing smth wrong. For example wrong file system. And anyway you will need fsc. You didn’t specify your HU type. So I don’t know do you have fsc long or short.

@@BimDoc In the process is nothing possible to do wrong. I used FAT32, NTFS and exFAT already. The download works. Unpacking to USB works. Installing in my car doesn’t work. I think it’s NBT (F22 from 05/2016) Navigation Business. My question was, from where do I get the FSC file? I never got it from anywhere. But I already did an USB update successfully 3-4 years ago. It just worked. Thanks again in advance!

Hi Vladimir I have a friend who has a bmw from Japan and has Japanese. Maps. If you send me fsc for nbt evo European Maps and I insert the usb with 2023 European maps will the car recognise them or is esys coding required to change the region. It would be nice for you to also do a video about that

Japanese cars are very different. It’s not so easy to change map region from Japan to anything else.

Hi @BimDoc can you help me with one problem, i do what you say in this tutorial, and after the update, every time I start the car a message appears on the screen " Navigation data in vehicle incomplete or has been manipulated. Please have the system checked by Service". I do it again with the same maps different USB stick, and again with maps downloaded from a different website, still the same. Can you help me with a suggestion how to solve the problem? Thank you

Make sure file system and usb drive size are correct. Solution is exactly as you are doing.

I have a 2017 BMW 540i G30 USA origin, have a FSC code for EU with label: FSC_Gxxxxxx_012000FE.fsc, inserting as you show on video, but have received a massage, that please use proper FSC or something like this. What's wrong?

In addition to the code HU has also to be patched (done via feature installer for example)

@@BimDocI have already ordered for remote access with patching Carplay and then generated a FSC code, as I understand now, it's made by the Feature Installer. But maps were actually not working and cars couldn't recognize road signs. Could you patch HU accordingly in order to properly work on maps and reading road signs?

Добрый день! Так и не разобрался почему выбивает ошибку Diagostic Address 0x63 "Identify" (после в окне "Base variant" появляется "NBT2") "Application Number" "0xDE" "Upgrade Index" "0x1" "Store FSC" и переводим его в правое окно нажатием клавиши ">>" Нажимаю "Read" и выскакивает ошибка(((

I have replaced 3 years ago my F10 CIC factory 80GB HDD with 120GB mSATA SSD, it's quite straight forward process. You need mSATA adapter obviously and right software to copy HDD information and write it to SSD.

@@pericodelospalotillosverdes Yes, exactly, it will convert a full size mSATA SSD into a standard 9.5mm high 44-pin 2.5" IDE SSD drive. I used Delock IIDE-MSAT mSATA SSD to 2.5-Inch IDE Adapter Converter with aluminum frame bracket.

In CarPlay or Android Auto, navigation using Apple Map or Google Map, navigation info could be projected to HUD, not much detail like original BMW maps, but could be readable and usable. But 3rd party apps like Waze couldn't. I didn't like original map is it's navigation algorithm is not as good as Apple or Google or others. It always lead you to the path you don't like. And the map update interval is too long( a quarter).

Agree, ID7 can display Google Maps nav data in the HUD. May be different in other head units as mentioned in the video. But for an early ID7 G30 it works with Nav Prof

У них есть похожие узлы. Не имел Х5, не могу порекомендовать по их эксплуатации. Но проблем с электрикой и софтом у Ф15 меньше
