Illumination spread is VERY important when it comes to performing like an incandescent. Because unless you light the reflector in the housing like an incandescent, you will have dark areas and the reflector won't be filled in.

Your BMW must be coded. I have these led bulbs and they flicker and will sometimes turn on randomly.

you have a wiring problem or fuse box prob had same problem on my 03 focus

THUNDERWÖLF if you have a new model BMW....the computer is running a system check for all lights at start up and randomly while car is on...so, yes...the will flicker periodically....the only lights that have to be coded before working properly is on the E60 turn signals within headlight housing....E90 may have same issue since iDrives are very similar....6 series have LED turn signals but the 5 series used regular bulbs...once you read the code...you noticed you can set the 5 Series to accept LED turn signals as well...

why not recommending as fog lamp? not powerful enough? too much power?

I fitted them to our van (Hyundai Entourage) absolutely hopeless for light output but look bright when you LOOK AT them. They were supposedly CREE types too - waste of time really...

Strife Rixa Word! I have the 80W version (approximately the same light output) and they fail to light up the road. It's like driving with the lights off when you sit behind the wheel. From the outside they look pretty amazing. This is a fashion before function item.
