A dark comedy about bulimia and eating disorders, Binge is based on Angela Gulner's (the lead actress and co-writer/co-creator) personal experience battling with bulimia and eating disorders for almost a decade before attending recovery.

I love how Angela has always been kind of a bad person throughout the show. I always thought it was weird how in a lot of eating disorder shows and movies the main character is always a shy , cute, sweet person when in reality having anorexia, bulimia and B.E.D make you such a miserable person not only to yourself but to others too.

Her best friend saying “You aren’t doing that stuff anymore right? The throwing up stuff.” Is so realistic. We dance around labels because they make the illness real, instead of just a little issue that will pass.

I totally related to this. That is how my parents described it. Here I am 12 years after the first time I purged still struggling but doing better. It’s important to look out for the problem and speak up for sure

I know you posted this 10 hours ago, but happy 2021 in... well... 3 1/2ish hours (California here)!!! I’m currently re-watching this as my reward for a loooong day and an even longer year. Love you all so much! Here’s to an amazing new year... you and everyone at HLG are incredibly talented and deserve all of the success and recognition and accolades possible! I can’t wait to see what comes next 💕

It was sobering to realize Angela’s best friend doesn’t know she’s struggling after all this time. This show presents the most realistic portrayal of eating disorders I’ve seen tbh I just want to shake the self-loathing out of Angela. You guys succeed in making me cry, every freaking time.

Spending my New Years in my childhood's bedroom, fighting my inner demons- yet relating so much with Angela and thus feeling less lonely and helpless - thank you. Thank you for raising awareness, showing all the ugly faces of bulimia - without making it tragically sad but bearable through sarcasm and dark jokes. I absolutely love this - the only way to survive and keep going. Thank you! Your minds are amazing! Also, can you add Faithful Henrys song Play Pretend to your Binge Spotify Playlist? Best one yet!!! BFF Angela & Kate! Now the secret" is out .....I'm so happy for them!!! Not that Angela got COVID but that the new year is starting off on the right foot as BRUTUALLY HONEST FRIENDS! The part when,they both said they @ loved @ other like sisters tearfully,made me think of my friend, Who I think of,as I love her as a younger little sister. Of course ,we are in lockdown in Canada (I miss her very much)!!! Though we chat here/ there. I'm so happy show renewed another season! The acting is great,scripts so well- written. Both comedic & dramatic. Nice ! Best to all you cast members for the New Year 2021!!!!

i had the worst christmas ever. my fiancee broke up and threw me out of the house we bought this year which almost made me kill myself and resulted in a worsening in both my ed and depression i binged like crazy for a while , and purged too. the first two months (nov and dec) i spent my days binging and sleeping pretty much (and sometimes also purging/and/or cutting). now the obsession about weight and "health" is back since ive gained some so i restrict a lot which only makes it worse and my friend making the comment earlier tonight "i heard you had bulimia i hope you didnt throw up the food we gave you it was expensive" really didnt help.

Oh love...that is so tough. Must have been hellish. I see you posted 5 days ago, did the strongest suicidal urges went away? Things are just so fucked up. I wish you get better with time. Sometimes things must be destroyed for us to be reborn. At that time we are shocked and hate it yet it’s for your own good.

@@adelva5750 I somehow missed your comment! I did try to kill myself by sleeping in the snow but I was caught and sent to the psych ward. Its... ok. Well it is better. I've moved in with new people. I binge less (binged on fruits today and purged earlier this week - it was my birthday and i had cake) but its not on a daily basis. It is slowly getting better... But I have days like today when I feel horrible and want to die and ended up in a mini-binge on a bag of fruit (because it was all i could find). Still, I have good moments too and find things I genuinly look forward too
