4:05 - 4:35 - This is such a brilliant scene, you can genuinely see Marty get pissed when he sees Biff groping his Mom like that. I’m a 6’, broad shouldered, square jawed, Army combat veteran built like a brick shithouse who also spent three years in hardcore NY juvenile detention, with 50+ total, AND won, street fights under my belt. The toughest dudes I’ve ever fought, CONSISTENTLY, were smaller guys, because you’re all so quick, with bony knuckles, and impossible to get my hands on. Being a “tiny” 5’6” guy automatically makes you a potentially better fighter than I ever have been, or could ever hope to be. You’re so much more powerful and strong than you may even realize… and that’s a goddamn shame. Be proud of your smaller stature, dude. There’s a ruthless brutality inside of you, but you just need to see it, and accept it.

Crispin Glover took it on himself to cut his own hair right before filming, hence the bizarre haircut. That was the beginning of the rift between him and the filmmakers. During the cafeteria scene, he was moving around so much in his chair, they threatened to bind him to it with gaffer's tape. He also refused to wear George McFly's yuppie clothes at the end because he didn't like that the movie ended with the McFly's being rewarded with material possessions like a BMW and nicer home furnishings; he thought Marty getting back home alive and having the love of his girlfriend was enough.

Even back in the 80s and early 90s when I was at school, the security was very laid back. This is in the UK. Guaranteed I could go back in time and wander around my old school and if challenged it would be a genuine "can I help you?", nobody would be concerned as to why an adult was wandering around in the way they'd now be. Nowadays obviously you'd get nowhere near. Not school shootings over here, just other obvious worries. Not back then though. So there'd really be no issues at a 50s school or even in the "present day" school in 1985.

I love how Strickland steps in to break up the fight between Marty and Biff, but when a paper airplane sails over his head, he walks off to see who threw it, forgetting about Marty and Biff completely. Both were lucky that time. If it hadn't been for that paper airplane, Strickland probably would've questioned Marty and found out he had no parents or a home to go to. Even Biff knew that his goose was cooked when he saw Strickland glaring at him. Strickland would've had any excuse to give him a detention. Lucky bastards!
