What’s the Kong: Skull Island movie about?
In March 2017, the producers of Godzilla transported audiences to the birthplace of one of the most powerful monster myths of all in KONG: SKULL ISLAND, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures.
When a scientific expedition to an uncharted island awakens titanic forces of nature, a mission of discovery becomes an explosive war between monster and man. Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, John Goodman and John C. Reilly star in a thrilling and original new adventure that reveals the untold story of how Kong became King.

It’s dealing with burning skin and bright light on its eye, animals are terrified of fire. Apex predators can deal with cuts and wounds, EG sharks for how many scars they have. They tolerate physical pain but not fire. The skullcrawler has thick hard skin that bullets can’t damage. that’s kind of dumb but it would be a short movie if 50cal did what it should do. Couple bullets through the skullcrawler and kong then roll credits 😂 Point is, it’s an Armoured creature but still suffers when burned.

It still makes no sense tho that this "Skull devil" can suddenly throw Kong like 100m through the air and then after just falling into these chains they somehow meticulously wrapped around his body perfectly to completely restrain him. But I guess the plot needed some extra tension and logic is always a mood killer in american movies.

Old comment but Kong was likely at a disadvantage just trying to box/fisticuffs with the Skull Devil. Kong has massive reach and his punch strength strength could easily flattern a building. Yet despite his speed, strength, Dexterity, and agility; that reach comes with a decent wind up time. Skull crawlers, even the adults are as we see, quick to close the gap. Their serpentine speed and agility also makes it hard to get a killing jab in. They effectively force Kong into grappling and wrestling. Which thankfully he's also good at.

Lmao how did he get tangled up in the chains with every limb and by the neck by falling on top of them.

Obv you never saw a horse run into a wire fence. Took me 3 hours to cut a horse out of one once.

@@LARGO125 Yeah, but horses aren't as smart as apes. Kong should just be able to unwind the chains. He's had to contend with vines before. But then, he's mad as hell and in a hurry.

Ironically I went through a "discussion" in another comment about this. KZfaq don't allow links so the proof is the imgur link on my about. The scene actually makes sense when you slow it down

This looks more realistic than the war bats scene in Godzilla vs Kong

I wanna say I disagree. Kong is far heavier than this beast without arms. When Kong Fall on Chains, it is weird that it become immediatly overunchained. And at the beginning of the figth, Kong could keep the monster's jaw on his hands to kill him by pull it...
