well the author of isekai smartphone writes multiple light novel's volumes per year, it has 27 volumes published to date. it had enough volumes for 2 more seasons when season 1 aired. meanwhile, NGNL had only 6 volumes when season 1 aired in 2014 and it has 12 volumes till date. so we might get season 2 in this decade as it finally has material to adapt into anime.

The backlash killed the deal before anything was legally binding (or the backlash nulled the agreements i forget which)

The Vshojo girls also apologized but Zen was the only one to do so publicly under Nux's tweet, however Melody did not apologize at all. Basically Melody threw Nux under the bus and didn't apologize.

It has no identity and any discussion about it and it’s Elmer’s always turns into a discussion about Isekai as a whole, because it has so little going on that people start talking about associated things. It’s like comparing an empty dumpster to one that is on fire and emitting toxic fumes that someone has smeared graffiti onto. Sure both are garbage but one of them is more interesting to look at

Season 2 pretty good

Season 1, for 4 episodes.. was pretty decent. But it quickly devolves into pure harem. And not the sexy kind. The awkward, barely hand-holding kind. The plot stops entirely for season 2. Its just dates, or him trying to hide from going on dates.

It’s the anime equivalent of a trashy soap opera. It’s objectively bad in many many ways, but people watch it anyway because it’s somehow entertaining in its trashiness.
