Biogas plants produce biogas, a combustible gas with a high methane content, from biomass. In most biogas plants, the biogas is then burned directly in a CHP unit and used to generate electricity and heat.
In this video, you'll learn how biogas plants work and why, although it probably doesn't make sense to add more plants in Germany, they can still be a very important part of the energy transition in the future.
