Could there have been cracks on the cusps that fractured that you had not dissected? That might be the reason of fracture. :)

Gr8 presentation Dr. Sivashankar... The clinical protocols you formulated from years of experience and follow up are really useful for young Biomimetic practitioners like us... I have already made lot of mistakes if to follow your protocol... hope I will not have to wait that long to learn from my failures to modify my protocols... And a few questions 1. Why you dont prefer overlays in RC treated premolars? I didn't understand how its different from molars restored with overlays 2. I do most of my indirect restorations with Ceramage ( indirect composite system from Shofu). It works really well for me. You always mentioned Emax ( ideally it should have been lithium disilicate) as your material of choice for indirect, is that only because of esthetic reasons 3. In the present scenario of bioclear and injection moulding lot of cases which you managed with indirect are nowadays managed effectively with direct composite restorations... Whatz ur take on this Thank you Dr Ajish Paul Karumalikkal

1. Nothing different for molars and premolars. But chance of shade difference between tooth and restorative material acceptable in molars , but aesthetically not pleasing in premolars when pt smiles

2. Haven't tried ceramage. Used nexco from ivoclar. But after trying emax never turned back

3. Any situations can be managed with direct composite including overlay. With inhouse ceramic lab , if i need to choose between composite and lithium disilicate , i don't prefer composite

@@biomimeticcentre8156 But I feel some scenarios direct restorations gives better contact and contour
@ajishpaul99703 жыл бұрын
@@biomimeticcentre8156 but most of the Emax restorations I saw in your presentation had excellent esthetics and most were matching with natural tooth structure
